“No need to go to the end..”
Reviewed April 24, 2006

The Pier was filled with venders and entertainers...It was fun to watch and shop. The last 10 feet of the pier are fisherman...so you really don't need to pay to go on to that part...you can see the sunset wonderfully from where you are. Most of the big piers on the gulf charge you to walk on them...they call it a "fishermans charge" even if you are not fishing. So we didn't get to walk out on many of them....

“Nice View”
Reviewed February 1, 2006

Pier 60 costs .50 to actually walk out onto, but the view is pretty nice, especially during sunset. There are plenty of things to do to keep you busy, including shopping and listening to music. On the weekends especially do vendors set up tables. The concession stand nearby offers the usual array of beach food - soft pretzels, nachos, sandwiches, for the usual high prices. Across the street is the marina, where you can book a variety of boat cruises - from fishing charters, snorkeling adventures, shelling trips, dolphin cruises to the Pirate ship. Definitely check out Pier 60 if you are in Clearwater Beach.

“They charge to go the end of the pier for sunsets!”
Reviewed August 29, 2005

The sunsets are beautiful, however the clouds obscured the actual sun setting into the gulf. I was disappointed that they charged a nominal fee to get to the end of the pier. It costs $.50 per person. I'm sure with the thousands visiting Clearwater Beach annually the amount spent by tourists pays for upkeep on the pier many times over. Beach is beautiful though.
