Pier 60 remins me of the Cocoa Beach Pier, but smaller. It's not particularly large and half of it is solely for fishing. A few quaint vendors set up shop along the piers. You know, jewelry and stuff. Not much from my view.

At night, they do have a variety of street performers at the pier entrance. Not my cup of tea either.

Go ahead and pay the 50cents to walk to the end of the pier. The view, especially at sunset is worth a couple bucks. The people watching is priceless!
There are a variety of street performers here. Most are very talented and interesting to watch. You'll also find typical beach artwork, shark-tooth and shell jewelry, and hair wraps for sale.
There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and there is a small concession stand with ice cream, sodas, sandwiches, etc. right next to the pier. It also has clean public restrooms and two covered playgrounds that are well equipped for smaller kids. Parking is plentiful in the area, though most of it is paid. Bring change for meters and your camera. My kids (2 and 6) wanted to come here every day of our trip. Even our friends' teenage kids enjoyed it for the performers and fishing from the pier.

We decided to walk the Pier as part of our "beach experience." Little did we know that you can only walk half-way, then you have to pay 50 cents per person to go to the end. We paid it, although it was not really worth it. Lots of people fishing from pier so it smelled like bait, which the birds did not seem to mind.
