“I Can Say I've Been There”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

Several vendors line each side of the pier selling their handmade crafts. Not much I would have bought to take home but still nice to see people working hard to make nice things for tourists to take home or buy as gifts for friends and family back home. We were disappointed that we couldn't walk all the way to the end of the pier without paying a "toll" to get through the gate where people were fishing. I suppose this is for the safety of people just out there walking and not being aware of fish hooks etc. Clearwater Beach was a great addition to our day in Clearwater but the pier, even though it's nice for photographs of the beach, wasn't that big of a deal.

“Not always busy”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

We visited on New Year's Day and the Pier was packet, lots of stalls selling costume jewellery and touristy things. Then we visited during the week and it was completely empty and just lovely.

Great place to walk around the street performers and trinket sellers. Its open during the day but really gets heated up around early evening.

“Fun”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

We enjoyed watching the artistic shows that happen nightly. We missed out on the selling of the items on the boardwalk because it was already dark.

“Who doesn't love a festival?”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

As long as it's not raining, they have a sunset festival every single night of the year. What's not to love about that? This is a great area to walk around, check out the sunset, see some vendors, let the kids play on an awesome beachfront playground, watch a magician, listen to live music, grab some concessions, and splash in the water.
