Several vendors line each side of the pier selling their handmade crafts. Not much I would have bought to take home but still nice to see people working hard to make nice things for tourists to take home or buy as gifts for friends and family back home. We were disappointed that we couldn't walk all the way to the end of the pier without paying a "toll" to get through the gate where people were fishing. I suppose this is for the safety of people just out there walking and not being aware of fish hooks etc. Clearwater Beach was a great addition to our day in Clearwater but the pier, even though it's nice for photographs of the beach, wasn't that big of a deal.
