“Visit the fishing shack.”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

Our kids loved this pier. First of all, be certain to visit the bait shop at the end of the pier. The kids can check out the shrimp tank and the people working are really friendly and helpful. Be sure to pay the few cents to go to the end of the pier. There could be a fishing volunteer who is very knowledgable about the fish and fishing off the pier. Second, come back at night where they have artisans lining the pier. It's fun to watch the glass blower. Lastly - they have year round movies on the beach every Friday and Saturday nights. It's free. Take the trolley to and from the movie as an added fun thing to do.

“Great Sightseeing Pier! Fishing as well”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

I have frequented this Pier many times being a resident of Tampa and have mixed reviews. I would highly recommend this attraction to take stellar photo's and pics with great vista's of the Beach! "The Pier" is worthwhile fishing , but be prepared to pay around 15.00 per person with bait. The store comes well stocked with tackle and souvenirs while walking mid-way through the maze of many vendors selling art and beautiful creative fares.
I have fished here catching some great "Pompano and Kings" when in season, and the end of the pier has plenty of room.I did have some dealings with some "rude" everyday fishermen there, who may be seasoned but lacked character. This is true about everywhere. I especially liked a man called the "birdman" who is there and hired as a environmental guide who is very knowledgeable and friendly giving lot's of constructive tips. His name is Tom. Great guy!I would give it a try if you want to fish and you don't need a license there which does offset the cost of admission. For fishing, get there at the break of dawn for success. For sightseeing by foot, there is no better place:)

“Lots of fun”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Pier 60 has a sunset celebration every night. Vendors, musicians, food, beach and sun...what more can you ask for?? The view is beautiful and there are places to sit and enjoy it with family or your special someone. I would recommend a visit!

“Worth a visit, just needs a little more variety.”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Stalls set out some nights and the odd performer most nights, open air film shows. Good views of sunsets. Just needs a little more variety of stalls and more regular. Shop at halfway a little boring.

“Nice Pier and Beach”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

The Pier is a Pier. The best time to go is when there are vendors there - late in the day - as there are many artsy handmade items for sale. Fishing is available off the pier - license, pole, and bait included in price.
