We opted for a balcony table at Shor at sunset and, although you can get a little traffic noise from the road below, you can't ask for a better view from this restaurant. The service we had was absolutely fantastic. Our server - I believe his name was William- was outstanding. Friendly but not overbearing, chatty but not intrusive and very knowledgable and enthusastic about the menu. We actually changed our minds over what to have based on his recommendations. The food was great - not the best we've ever had, but still very nicely cooked and presented. And our assistant server (who brought us bread and water thoughout the meal) was a lovely lady too! As a purely personal opinion, the only slight drawback for me was that I felt like I was in a very 'corporate' restaurant in a 'corporate' hotel. It felt like I should be sat there as a part of a convention...I think it's the decor which is entirely generic and not very comfortable. It's just big, impersonal hotel and that translated over to the restaurant which lacked any kind of intimate feel. But if you want a good seafood meal with great service, Shor was great. Thanks again William!
