We ate at the Tin Can Café during our last two days visiting Florida, but I wish my family and I would have discovered this little gem at the beginning of our trip! The place is simple--classic and unassuming--which makes you feel comfortable from the minute you step in the door. The fact that the servers are friendly and talkative just adds to the welcoming ambiance. And the food? Awesome home-cooking at its best! Over our two visits, we sampled: thick-cut French Toast, blueberry pancakes (fresh blueberries were delicious), biscuits with sausage gravy, bacon, and the best home fries I've ever had in a restaurant--perfectly seasoned! The cost is extremely reasonable and the décor elicits a feeling of nostalgia. It is obvious that the employees care about their customers, as there were many greetings of, "Hello, (insert name of customer here)" as people walked in the front door. People become regulars for a reason, and if I lived anywhere near that area of Florida, I would definitely be a regular at the Tin Can Café.
