Description: Undistinguished cinder block building housing very distinguished breakfast menu. Try the 7 oz. Angus steak and 3 eggs for $4.79. Then try the fantastic pork chops and eggs. This is definitely a locals joint, but it welcoms newcomers.

We ate at the Tin Can Café during our last two days visiting Florida, but I wish my family and I would have discovered this little gem at the beginning of our trip! The place is simple--classic and unassuming--which makes you feel comfortable from the minute you step in the door. The fact that the servers are friendly and talkative just adds to the welcoming ambiance. And the food? Awesome home-cooking at its best! Over our two visits, we sampled: thick-cut French Toast, blueberry pancakes (fresh blueberries were delicious), biscuits with sausage gravy, bacon, and the best home fries I've ever had in a restaurant--perfectly seasoned! The cost is extremely reasonable and the décor elicits a feeling of nostalgia. It is obvious that the employees care about their customers, as there were many greetings of, "Hello, (insert name of customer here)" as people walked in the front door. People become regulars for a reason, and if I lived anywhere near that area of Florida, I would definitely be a regular at the Tin Can Café.

Just had breakfast here with 2 sons. Great food, at absolute bargain price (for a Brit!). We had the steak and 3 eggs and the pancakes with bacon. The steak alone was worth the visit. Plus this place has atmosphere. Will return before we leave Clearwater.

Not a fancy restaurant but really good, hearty food, (in large portions) for very, very reasonable prices. Wait staff is always friendly, food comes out quick, you never leave hungry, and you don't spend a lot. (Thick pork chops, delicious steak and egg dishes, huge salads, good sandwiches and burgers, tasty soups, and more).

Saw reviews on tripadvisor before my visit so made a beeline for the Tin Can. Best breakfast ever - couldn't resist the 3 eggs, home fries and the excellently cooked steak, toast and endless coffee.
My colleague went for the pancakes but could only manage 2 of the 3. Very friendly and prompt service, family run business. Highly recommended.
