Owner description: Join us aboard the Sea Life Safari for a 90-minute tip into our beautiful intracoastal waters. Look for dolphins, sea birds and other marine life as our staff narrates the scenic ride to a shell island. You'll be a part of the action as a certified Marine Biologist from the Clearwater Marine aquarium performs our net pull and passes around sea life before releasing them back to their natural habitat. A hands-on experience unlike any other cruise! Children and adults of all ages love this experience.

My kids are teenagers so this was kind of a been there done that thing for them. For smaller kids it would be great. They put out a net and pull in fish and have a show and tell. We caught a squid so that was fun to see. Of course you get to see dolphins and they take you to a small island to pick up shells. Again, would be great for small kids. It's short and educational

We went on the 10:30am Safari Cruise so it was a little cold, but they provided blankets for us. They had bottles of water and soda for $2 and snacks for a $1. On our cruise we got to see a dolphin, sea urchins, crabs, puffer fish, and a few others. Before showing us the sea animals they took us to this little island and let us look around and collect sea shells. It's great for all ages and the crew were amazing.

Picked up the boat from the Clearwater Marina, parking is by meter and limited; although free parking at the CMA. The pontoon boat leaves the marina to pickup passengers then returns to marina to pick up any passengers. Very educational and great for all, it is a nice way to start a day (recommend early trip) - watch a drag net sampling of marine life, visit a small island (nice views, but that's all) well picked over so do not expect to find any shells. Allow about 1.5 hrs roughly for the trip which returns you to the CMA, you can not return to the Clearwater Marina, even if you start get the boat from there, does not make sense. Staff on the boat were very nice and gave lots of information about the animals / fish captured in the traul net.

Was described as a two hour eco tour etc, actual time was one hour twenty minutes. Felt the whole experience a bit of a let down and not what we expected - should have saved our money.

This little boat tour was so worth the time and money. The kids just loved it and we did too. It was nice seeing the area from the water and, once out in the ocean, they dropped a net and captured some wildlife which they then showed to the kids and educated them about the creatures. We caught a crab, blow fish and all kinds of other fish. It was a really nice tour and just the right amount of time. If staying in Clearwater, I'd recommend doing the tour one morning and the aquarium the next morning, freeing up your afternoons for the sandy beaches!

Glad you had a great trip .. sounds like it was an active day on the water! Your morning trip is a great recommendation as we often see (summer) storms in the afternoon. Please come back and visit us again!
