This hotel has it all! It has ruined staying anywhere else. It is all Suites and the suites have full kitchens, couch, eating area, bar, Large bathroom with two sinks and a separate walk in tiled shower, large balcony with an ocean view. There is a separate makeup station, outside the bathroom so you don't have to to your hair in the humid bath where your husband is showering! We were only here one night as we headed to Key West but wish we could stay at Clearwater Beach, instead. The beach and boardwalk and pier are so nice and fun. You can walk to anything you need. Do not miss the Grouper Burgers at Frenchy's South Beach. We had a condo here for many years but have not been here for 10-15 years..Congratulations to Clearwater Beach! Now I know why it is one if the Top beach towns in the country. We will be back, hopefully soon. Thanks Hyatt!

Room Tip: I think they are all good with Views, we were above the pool which was also fun.

Stayed three nights in Feb. 2013. We had a two queen, two bath room on 11th floor. We were very pleased wih the amenities of the room! Every room has a full kitchen w granite countertops and the kitchen had all necessary glassware, plates, silverware, toaster and blender. The balconies are large with a table that seats four. Each room also has an ocean view. Of course, some rooms are oceanfront and have a fabulous view so keep this in mind when booking your room. The pool area was very nice with cabanas and plenty of lounge chairs. There's also a wonderful rooftop bar/lounge area. There is the Sandara Spa on site but we didn't have a chance to try it. The restaurant, Shor, is great, whcih is unusual for a resort-based restaurant. We ate lunch and dinner there and both were delicious. Definitely try the lobster ravioli for dinner! And, Shor is oceanfront. The lobby is small and somewhat unimpressive but the service was very good. The concierge was very helpful in providing ideas and suggestions for activities during our stay.
Overall, this Hyatt is an excellent resort with upscale amenities and I would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: Try to book an oceanfront room. Even though all rooms have ocean view, the oceanfront balconies look...

We had a 2 queen suite and it was huge. In 10th floor Views were fantastic. The only thing is that the lobby feels cold and unfinished. Also visited Sand Pearl. Lobby and restaurant much better than Hyatt but rooms much smaller.

the only good news-if you complain & move to a room w/ a good view that you thought you had reserved, you have a view of a beautiful beach & dock w/ lots of high sodium lights all night (orange tint and all), plus noise from motorcycles, muscle cars, etc going up & down the road between the hotel & beach at all hours The front desk was awful at every encounter; was there for 2 nights. As a Hyatt Platinum member, i expected a decent room. Instead, I waited for Jesse (who called himself the front desk manager) to search his computer for over 10 minutes while delivering inane small talk despite me saying i was tired from the travel day & obviously not interested in telling him where i came from, etc. I went to the room -- view into another room, handicap equiped w/ low counters, shower to roll a wheelchair into, etc .....good for a handicapped person but not for me since as i didn't need that. Wasted 35 minutes calling & getting another room. Jesse acted like he was doing me a BIG FAVOR by giving me a 2 bedroom suite -- as the only person traveling on business, i didn't need that & didn't request that; so i don't feel any major gratitude. Also the room wasn't on a high floor as i requested to minimize street noise; it was right above the pool restaurant terrace so i heard the housekeeping sweep it at 11pm; plus heard noise all night. Three airconditioners in the room -- loud, coming on at separate times & blowing so much that you feel like you are going to get a cold -- made me get up at 3am to turn all off & listen to the street noise. Which included a tractor on the beach cleaing up the stuff that beeped every 5 minutes; not particularly conducive to sleeping. I'm getting tired writing this as i recall all the other problems. But just a few -- I forgot to bring my iphone charger & asked the front desk if they had one i could borrow. Was told no, their charger was only for manager. Asked to speak to manager. A guy named Nick, dressed in sloppy, faded, tropical shirt & cargo pants came out & said he was the manager (really??) Told him of issues w/ the room, breakfast that morning, parking, etc etc. His response was that he could only listen. Really? That's management! insisted they let me borrow the charger & he finally gave in. Bottom line on this place -- i think it's either (a) a condo project that was foreclosed on & they have tried to make it into a hotel; or (b) a hotel developed to go condo in a few years....why else would they have these massive kitchens, huge bathrooms, wasted space that most hotels never have & that are expensive to build / maintain. This place was overwhelmed by a business group that was staying there (taking over the restaurant, rooftop bar w/ a private party), etc; paid no attention to the higher paying regular guests. Can't imagine who would want to stay there other than a family for one night but they wouldn't want to pay the exhorbitant prices. also while the beach is beautiful, the area is honky tonk -- think hooters, drunk 20 somethings, not businesslike. i'm stunned that hyatt would operate a hotel in this area or with such minimal, ill trained staff. would never return.

Recently stayed here with my husband how was attending a conference at the hotel. We had a Premium King room which was very beautiful and modern in every way. In addition to the large bath area with two sinks, there was a seperate toilet area and very large tiled shower. The bedroom was very nice, flat screened TV, and comfortable bed. Love the lamps that have plugin made to them for charging phones, etc. Closet had a safe large enought for many items. Patio with table and four chairs could be reached from the bedroom or the living area. Living room had sofa, chairs, TV, nice table with chairs, in addition to the bar area/stools facing the kitchen. Kitchen had full sized refrig, microwave and stove...no oven. There is a small 4 c coffee pot that coffee is provided for each day. Would have been nice to have a larger pot since you had a full kitchen. Overall, it was a beautiful, modern room and very enjoyable. Additional bathroom with tub located near kitchen. Did not have a car to park in garage as we had read how much it cost to self park and decided we would use super shuttle from Tampa airport. Pool was heated and very nice. There is a pool bar, however, they did not come to the pool area to take orders. Ask the bartender to fix you his special rum drink! There is an open area on the top floor where hot tub is located (very small hot tub for size of hotel) is super. Comfortable seating and a veiw in two directions. Be sure to go up there! Great place to read or chat with friends. Elevators were super fast and staff were very friendly. During check in there was a bottle of champane located behind the man who checked us in, however he did not offer us any. We are Hyatt members and it was not crowded, so not sure who gets that.....don't think we should have had to ask for it. I agree with other readers that in comparing the lobby, it is not as impressive as others, but serves the purpose i guess. Hotel is very convenient to many walkable restaurants, beach just across the street, and groc store is next door. Wonderful $2 trolly you can ride or better still, call the Florida Free Ride van. We used this to get from the hotel to the Hertz rental cars and it works on tips only. Driver was great and had room for our luggage. In summary, only major improvements i would have enjoyed were softer towels for he bathroom and an exhaust fan. Also, the AC unit is pretty noisy...cuts on and off in ceiling. Still, you will have an enjoyable stay.

Lovely hotel on a lovely property. Views from the rooms, pool deck, can't be beat. We loved the kitcheonette with full sized fridge and microwave oven. Also the small balcony with chairs and table. Breakfasts at Shor are excellent too. Appreciated the bottled water that was replenished every day as well. Also had complimentary laundry/dryer on the floor, a nice touch! Really had no complaints, and would return here anytime.

My wife attended a national meeting of a womens organization at this hotel and I joined her. The review will feature two colums that will give the reader the plus and minus of my experience:
Plus Minus
Valet not scratches on car and generall on time Valet said call going to elevator we found it took 5more min.
Fee Ice 5lb bags It took two calls to finally get delivery
Meeting rooms Meeting meals inedible and restaurants sub par
Room design Enough dust on mirror prior guest left a message
Fitness facility Indifferent front desk staff
Bell Man

On balance not worth the price but if your group chooses perhaps you can learn from my experience.

Room Tip: Ocean view higher floor a must
