If you are familiar with Dolphin Tale, you cannot help but love this place. Sure it is small, but it is everything one would expect and more. The ability to get close to see Winter, injured turtles, paralyzed otters, and to pet sting rays was outstanding. Also, teachers get in free! Just make sure you have some proof of being a teacher--even a pay stub.
I love how much of the movie has been kept: above ground pool, boat, etc.
MUST SEE

This aquarium is actually a marine rehabilitation hospital and not a traditional aquarium. It is amazing to see the work that they do here. Of course, their most famous resident is Winter, the dolphin from the movie "Dolphin Tale." It does not take long to go through, but is well worth the money once you realize that your ticket price is likely helping fund their work. If you decide to watch the dolphin shows, especially the ones with Winter, be sure to catch one upstairs and then stay long enough to see the next one with her, but watch from the windows located below the water level. Just get a spot early as there is limited space in the lower level. We did not do the tour at the prop location, but this is included in the ticket price as well as the transportation to get to it.

Worth visiting for Winter and the rest of the animals. Worth visiting to support the aquarium with its marine rescue programs.

For my Family Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our family group visited the aquarium this July. The kids had watched the movie Winter so knew the story about the dolphin. They had a great time! A great choice for a family group...but take the time to watch the movie first! Also...this place is REALLY hot in July and has limited air conditioning. Plan accordingly!

Did not love this place. It was very small and tight spaces. They only had 1 bathroom...outside. Basically a upgraded porta pot. The dolphin area was very small. We did enjoy the dolphin "show". It was really cool to see Winter. We used coupons out of Valpak online. It is a neat place, as it is different, and educational. We did not do any of the add on items, such as back stage tour or dolphin cruise. There were several people walking around answering various questions. We are glad that we went, but you cant kill a whole day here.

Thank mkmaj
