We meant to stop here for breakfast and stumbled across it for an early dinner. Glad we did, the bartender made great drinks and I tried the Chicken Satay which was really good (a little on the spicy side but I enjoyed it). We also had the Cheesy bread as an appetizer and that was good too. It might be a little bit of a walk from the pier but I would suggest checking it out!

In Clearwater Beach, this is an excellent, casual seafood restaurant with more ambitious recipes than many. The Mojito scallop appetizer and the stuffed poblano pepper were especially good. The service was friendly, well-behaved kids seemed to be enjoying themselves -- definitely worth knowing about.

If you find yourself on Clearwater Beach, or within 10 miles, you owe it to yourself to have breakfast at the Clear Sky Beachside Cafe. Yes, you may have to wait, especially during season, but the wait is not only worth your time, but relatively quick. The place is usually filled to capacity, yet somehow a friendly face shows up at your table quickly and gets your drinks, and returns for your order. Now at this point, you ask, how long must I wait for my meal, since the place is jammed? Not long. Our wait was less than 15 minutes and the portions and quality of the breakfast was perfect. Now for the real surprise, the prices. Well, I will not let the cat out of the bag, but for a great meal, good service and a friendly staff I can assure you the prices are even better.

We went Saturday morning. The atmosphere was very beachy. The beach is only 100 yards away. The food was great. They had a awesome bloody Mary bar the was amazing. We definitely go back to this restaurant.

Starting from the moment we walked in, Kris "the hostess with the most-est" made us feel right at home. Our first visit was for a quick snack in which we ordered the French Onion soup, fantastic, like none I've ever had before. It was thick, almost creamy. For appetizers we ordered the Pot Roast sliders, delicious!! The meat was perfectly cooked, very tender and rolls were great too. But the show stopper was the Keylime Shrimp Scampi on garlic toast. To. Die. For. Large shrimp laid out on homemade French bread drenched in a mouthwatering creamy Keylime sauce. So impressed that we asked to see the breakfast menu. Decided right then and there to make reservations for the next morning. What really sealed the deal was meeting Chef Bobby and the ever gracious and accommodating Kris. Breakfast did not disappoint. Steak and eggs all around. Huge ribeye seasoned and cooked to perfection. The breakfast potatoes are not run of the mill, they are very tasty. What a nice experience for a resort town cafe. Don't miss it!
