In town on vacation and tried this place based on the great reviews. Went for breakfast. I had oatmeal, which came with raisins and brown sugar on the side. Hub had some special dish with eggs, pancakes, links, toast....huge. My toddler had a kid's bkfst of scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast. Ordering oatmeal out can be tricky, but this place does a good job. Texture was nice, and just the right amount of raisins and sugar. The one thing that would have made it better is the temp. It was lukewarm, and I need my oatmeal hot!.Hubby did not care for his meal at all. He thought the pancakes were disgusting, and potatoes were 'funky". Turns out they don't serve buttermilk pancakes. They serve some flour pancakes made with vanilla and cinnamon. No such description on the menu and when he questioned the waitress, she had no clue what made the pancakes taste unusual. Darling daughter ate some of her eggs didn't care for her potatoes either and nibbled on the link.
A suggestion...if you want to impress customers by serving different or seasoned foods, please describe what's being used on the menu or educate your staff. Some people are very happy with good old fashioned breakfasts. Maybe they should go elsewhere if that's what key want? Perhaps.....but wouldn't you want to satisfy all customers when they visit your place? Sorry.we won't be back. No clear sky from our view.
