Incredible vibe and fantastic sunset views. It gets loud and crowded and I loved it! This place is right on the beach and has a live band every night - a good one! Prices are reasonable and food is good.

In its prime location overlooking Clearwater Beach, The Palm Pavilion has been in business since 1926, according to their literature. But the dining room is anything but antiquated. Shining wood surfaces provide a warm glow, even though it was overcast when we dined here.

We came with visitors from Sweden. Our waitress was very competent, but also funny, and dealt very well with our diverse party, all with varying proficiencies with the English language. Drinks orders were filled quickly and refills were made as necessary, without wait. We weren't rushed to order, and salads were served with ample time to enjoy them before our entrees were delivered.

Salads were fresh, if lackluster. Iceberg lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumber slices. However, the blue cheese dressing was creamy with large chunks of tangy cheese. The Caesar Salad with grilled chicken served very well as a lunch entrée. I heartily recommend the Wasabi Scallops appetizer. These broiled scallops drizzled with their wasabi mayonnaise were excellent. I wish they served it as an entrée. I was afraid the Tomato Basil Chicken Flatbread might be bland, but the garlic sauce added just the right touch. The chicken, however, had a slight fishy taste, as though it was cooked too near something else on the grill. The Chicken Ole is interesting… definitely worth a try. And the Hamburger sliders provided a perfect portion for the children in our party. I’m told by friends that the Shrimp and Crab Chowder is the best around. Not being a fan of crab meat, I can’t offer my own opinion, but feel I should pass on that advice.

And after dining, we were allowed to enjoy our company in comfort.

This is a very relaxing beachside restaurant. Service was good; food was served hot, and in a timely fashion. Don’t sit up front next to the live music because you will not be able to have a conversation with your friends at your table. Menu was a little on the pricey side, but the view of the beach was fantastic, and worth the extra cost.

Palm Pavilion is great fun place on beach. Usually has live music - like individual steel drum player, etc. Drinks are good, good singles place but don't find food very good. Its generic seafood. Go here to party and/or relax on beach.
