The lunch menu has the usual fare to be expected at an eatery in a seemingly dilapidated small coastal town – hamburger, grilled cheese sandwich, tuna sandwich, etc. Waitress eventually came around and rattled off a pretty extensive list of specials that bore no resemblance to the menu items. I had a bowl of the shrimp and lobster bisque. Very possibly the best bisque I have ever had – including several multi-star big city restaurants. My dining companion had blackened mahi-mahi
Service was slow, even though the wait staff was hustling. It took awhile to get our meal, and could not get the waitress’ attention when we wanted our bill. Finally walked up to the register to pay.
We sat outside at concrete tables and benches with embedded ceramic tiles – sort of a 60’s coastal chic. The music was an eclectic mix of 70s and 80s music and kind of added to the fun.
Had a hard time on the rating. It is definitely better than a 3 star but the service made it less than a 4 star. The wait staff was trying so I am going to vote on the food.
