“The best find of our whole vacation!!!!!”
Reviewed December 25, 2012

We (me, my husband and adult son) found Havana Cafe the first day of our vacation and went back three more times!! It became like visiting family - Carlos and Dulce were incredibly friendly and took very good care of us. On the advice of our waitress we ordered the mussels in the red saffron sauce and the shrimp - both absolutely fresh and so flavorful! The mussels were the most tender I have ever had. We came back for lunch and on Carlos recommendation ordered the Cuban sandwich, the steak sandwich, and he made us a mahi mahi platter - all was presented so the three of us could share. How great is that! Next we came to dinner for Carlos famous Carribean Seafood Pasta - we ordered one plate for the three of us and it was perfect. Our final morning there, we came for breakfast - the omellettes (Carlos and Havana) were large, loaded, and tender. Note: home fries are actually light, crispy homemade potato chips. The key lime pie was the best we had in South Florida. Every single one of the wait staff was friendly, helpful, and engaging - we smiled a lot during our visits. Oh, and the music they play was a trip down memory lane of my youth. The outdoor seating and atmosphere a definite plus.

“Great food, lovely outdoor patio”
Reviewed December 24, 2012

We ate lunch here with our two young kids. Ordered the Cuban sandwich and blackened mahimahi. Both excellent. Daughter had the grilled cheese. No frills there, but service was friendly and atmosphere very pleasant. Would have returned if we had been in town longer.

“Perfect lunch!”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

This spot was an unexpected treat - nice tables in the shade, a friendly staff and wonderful food. We had mussels cooked to moist tender perfection and blackened mahi with rice and black beans - all impeccably fresh and delicious.

“Best Cuban Food this side of Havana”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

The sandwiches are the best you'll eat and the Cuban pulled pork is the best! Friendly, island atmosphere combine to make this a must do in the Everglades area.

“A+++ Delicious!!”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

Fantastic all around experience. Made two recent trips there and had the mussels, shrimp platter and conch chowder. Chips and salsa are delicious. The seafood is so fresh and has perfect seasoning and taste. Dulce and Carlos are warm, welcoming and focused on providing a friendly, satisfying dining experience. Donna, our server, was fun and provided quick detailed service. The atmosphere is casual, authentic and laid back. I am anxious to return for breakfast in the future. This restaurant is definitely worth the trip!!!!
