We (me, my husband and adult son) found Havana Cafe the first day of our vacation and went back three more times!! It became like visiting family - Carlos and Dulce were incredibly friendly and took very good care of us. On the advice of our waitress we ordered the mussels in the red saffron sauce and the shrimp - both absolutely fresh and so flavorful! The mussels were the most tender I have ever had. We came back for lunch and on Carlos recommendation ordered the Cuban sandwich, the steak sandwich, and he made us a mahi mahi platter - all was presented so the three of us could share. How great is that! Next we came to dinner for Carlos famous Carribean Seafood Pasta - we ordered one plate for the three of us and it was perfect. Our final morning there, we came for breakfast - the omellettes (Carlos and Havana) were large, loaded, and tender. Note: home fries are actually light, crispy homemade potato chips. The key lime pie was the best we had in South Florida. Every single one of the wait staff was friendly, helpful, and engaging - we smiled a lot during our visits. Oh, and the music they play was a trip down memory lane of my youth. The outdoor seating and atmosphere a definite plus.
