We visited family in Chiefland and needed a room as overflow guests. The staff was friendly, the price was a bit high (but not much competition in the area and the best price of those around), the grounds were well kept and the pool was nice. However, when we opened the door to our room, it smelled overwhelmingly like dogs (there is a no pet policy but we heard dogs barking inside at least one room on the first day alone). Also, there was something leftover in the min-fridge (we weren't brave enough to touch it). If you need a place to crash for a night or two, the Days Inn is conveniently located to the few shopping centers and restaurants available. If you are looking for more, I would suggest driving the hour to Gainesville.
