“Amazing place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2014

We did a two tank dive here at two different spots. The facilities are all very clean and the grounds well kept up. The diving here was breath taking. I actually caught a flounder.. Go figure. This place is a must dive. Lots of marine life.

“Beautiful camping and swimming!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

We stayed in the tent loop and were very pleased with our campsite. We saw many deer who were very comfortable being in proximity. Be sure to bring bug repellent as the deer carry fleas and ticks. The spring was beautiful; we really enjoyed swimming. We also rented a canoe - very economical. They have kayaks as well though we didn't stay that long. The concession which is open until 7 PM had fresh BBQ every day. We didn't have any but it smelled wonderful.

“Beautiful park!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2014 via mobile

Stopped by on the way home from Cedar Key and was pleasantly surprised! The springs are lovely and there is a nice boat dock on the Suwannee so that boaters can walk on the boardwalk to the springs. The ranger that we talked with was a pleasure! We did see three water snakes within 2 feet of each other off the boardwalk. The fisherman decided that it wasn't worth going down and retrieving his cork once we pointed the snakes out to him!

“Great park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2014

We arrived on a Friday evening during a non-holiday weekend. It was very calm and not crowded, our campsite was really nice and private (#25 in Magnolia Campground, we only had one small tent). I would agree with a lot of other comments about the condition of the bathroom - it needs renovation. I wasn't expecting a Ritz Carlton, but I also didn't expect to shower with 2 frogs and very moldy curtain. There is zero cell phone reception at the park but there is a free wifi spot at the concession stand. Wildlife we saw: deers, family of boar, snake, dead snake, fish and turtles.
The spring was one of the best we've been to. Clear water, lots of fish, not crowded, good depth. We went kayaking in the morning, the currents on the river really made it enjoyable. We went as far as we could on the river and on the way back we just relaxed, letting the current take us back, and watched sturgeons jump out of the water. The hiking trail was nothing special, wouldn't do it again. But the entire overall experience was really great.

“4 Stars if you Scuba, 3 if not, 5 if you like ticks!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2014

Hey, it's Florida, guess what? We've got ticks. We started with a small hike around the sink hole trail. We came out covered with ticks. We live in rural Florida, and while it's not a big deal to have ticks, I was impressed by the number we picked up in a 45 minute walk. WOW!!!! Anyway,it's Florida and the woods, get over it.
The picnic areas were reasonable in size and the spring was beautiful, and deep. There were more scuba divers here than at other springs that we've seen due to the underwater caverns. There were dive sites for scuba only. I don't think we'll come back to this particular place, but if you're diving caves, this seems like a great place.
