In March we stayed 3 nights in our RV at the park's campsite. It was a beautiful location. We were within walking distance to the springs. The water is perfectly clear and you can see 25 feet to the bottom where scuba divers can enter a cavern. The water is 72 degrees all the time. The springs are easily accessible by steps, so no stepping in mud or rocks...really nice engineering. There weren't any manatee in the swimming area the first day but we were able to see them in the river along the boardwalk through the swamp. The Boardwalk goes out to a dock on the Suwannee River. The second day after a rain and it was a little on the cool side the manatee were in the swimming area and we got some great pictures. One morning 10-15 deer came right up to the back of the campsite and stood there watching us. The park has a nice playground and picnic area. Canoeing/kayaking is available but not until the summer. I can't wait to go back.
