“DO NOT STAY HERE”
Reviewed July 14, 2009

Me and my family drove down to the resort. The directions were incorrect and once we finally found the welcome center it was rellocated. When we checked in, the attendant was supposed to schedule our time share. Well, he did not. So we went to our room and it smelled moldy. The room looked outdated and the toilet ran and spewed out water the entire time that we were there. Trying to be honest, we called the next morning to schedule our time share presentation and no one answered the phone. We called back again to ask if someone could come out and fix the toilet... No one came. We called back again and someone assured us that it would be fixed. Well, it took all day..literally nine hours and they came when we had gone out to dinner. Needless to say, when we came back the lights were turned on I guess to let us know that someone had come, but the toilet was still running...And it was still running when we left. Our presentation was never scheduled and then they charged us extra money a week later. I would never recommend that anyone stay here. Ever.

I am an owner and has been for 6 years. This propertty has changed over the years the up keep isn't as great. They have to many bugs on grounds, every step is an ant farm(NASTY). The unit was ok a little out dated, it's suppose to be your home away from home I think not. Owners don't get the luxury of having the rooms cleaned, don't buy. If you own every time you stay they treat you crappy if you don't own the most expensive so you will want to up grade to a better package. It's all about the money with and for what it's not what it appears. If you complain about something missing or broken the send someone out to shut you up but it doesn't get fixed or replaced and they don't come back.

Well the place was very nice, but we didn't really enjoy it because we spent all our time at the theme parks, but when it came to the tour , they played a game 0f bait and switch i spent four hours instead of 90mintues on the tour, customer beware of your under haevy presure to buy and if your a single person you will be called on last or at least 40minutes upon arriving to the tours there looking for couples, seniors citizens, and any "SUCKER willing to put out all there vacation money on a time share . There 'are like cars salesman time 10,they must have some of the best CON-TATICS TRAINNIG,TO WORK THERE.If you really want to just want to enjoy the theme parks, every morning do not try this ,it will kill your Happy Sprits ,OF SPENDING TIME WITH THE FAMILY. I wanted a refund one month prior to my vacation and they would not give it to me,i was told i have 10days prior to my travel date and when i called for the refund i was told different it's ten days after the ROOM purchase. I made resvation three months inadvace and still couldn't get my money. Beware when you say NO to there time share about 6 other people call themself mangers they are the DRILLERS TO PRESURE YOU INTO BUYING AND THE PRICES WILL DROP WITH EVERY SO CALLED MANGERS.VERY DECEIVING IT ONE BIG SCAM.

We selected this resort since Interval International gave a high rating for the resort. At the check-in lobby, it was packed (standing room only) with people with many receiving the free 3-night stay as part of the resorts focus in timeshare sales. The check-in lobby had the ambience of a Motel 6 rather than a high end resort.

Our first full day, we decided to relax at the resort pool close to our room early in the morning to beat the crowds since it was 4th of July weekend. It came to a surprise that the pool had no/zero/zilch towels for their guests. I approached the young lady at the pool bar and she summoned someone to bring the towels. One hour later, still no towels. Also, the "bar" didn't serve any food or beverages. I was told that we had to go to a different pool to have that type of service for food/cocktails.

Second day (Sunday), we decided to go back to the pool. Again, they had no towels. Many of the guests were looking for towels which prompted me to ask for the Manager. She explained that they understand it's an issue and were trying to decide how to resolve the issue. How difficult is it to make sure towels are available at the swimming pool for guests during a holiday weekend?

Rooms weren't cleaned thoroughly - there were dirt and crumbs still on the all tile floor in the kitchen, dining and living room.

Continental breakfast was served with half frozen pastries and very stale. How many high rated resorts serve frozen pastries and bagels? None that I've been to. My 19 year old son actually vomited from how bad the pastries were.

Most top rated resorts will ask how your stay was and this one didn't at check out.

Their focus appears to be in sales instead of customer service. One of the sales people told me they had 120 sales people working.

Where do I start!?!?! Mystic Dunes was a terrible experience. The room we stayed in was the 1 bedroom and 1 bath. We got a peek at our neighbor’s room the 2 bedroom and it was no better. The picture on the website was not where the “renters” (our tour guide shared) or time share “exchange” people (people next door from Atlantic City) stay according to the people there. The room was 10 years outdated, the knobs on the washer/dryer keep falling off, the construction was shoddy, the beds were worn out and uncomfortable, the blankets had holes in them, the sheets were frayed at the edges, the rug in the living area was frayed, the bath tub plug fell out when trying to plug the tub, our trash can was stolen when we placed the trash outside, and we could hear our neighbor’s loud and clear at all hours. The sales presentation did not start until 10:30am and breakfast was terrible with the exception of the sausage. It last until 1:30pm. We had to go through three sales people and the last guy was the strong arm. Not only was he angry we did not buy he marched us to the exit door, stared us down, and said “just walk out on that yellow line and get out”. The only thing that stopped him from throwing us out the door was the fact I pleaded with him that I had to get our children from the childcare area!! Why would you buy into a place like this?!?!? During the sales presentation, we were told that once we purchased we would have a person assigned to take care of our needs and better accommodations. Our neighbors gave a different story. They were owners and were an exchange from Atlantic City. They only saw their assigned person at check-in. After that he was not heard from again even after a series of phone calls and visits to the front desk. The third day we were there a Hispanic man who came to the door and rang the door bell furiously at 7:30am! An hour later a woman tried to enter our room with her daughter. She used her key card which allowed her to unlock the door to OUR room. She had mistakenly gone to the wrong floor. The only thing that kept her from coming in was the top latch. The front gate security was a joke as well. They waived everyone though IF they were there at all. WARNING – Do NOT stay here!!!! This place is AWFUL!! BTW – We have pictures!!!!

It all started at the airport, where we were met by the transport services recommended by Mystic Dunes; the price we had to pay from the airport to the resort was ridiculous. We ended up renting a vehicle, which I would recommend. They say they have transportation available at the resort, but it comes with a high cost. The check in was horrible with extremely long lines. We didn't get the room we reserved and the one we finally got was spacious (2 BR/2BR villa), but nothing seemed to work. The big screen TV didn't work, no hot water and there was mold in the overhead cabinets in the kitchen. We were sick (sinus allergies/cold) from the mold. The maintenance guys were not responsive to our requests. It took us 6 hours to complete the tour that they request of you and they didn't give us all the parts to our package. It was our first visit to Orlando and Disney World so our kids were looking forward to the stay. We toured Disney Resorts while at Disney World and wished we had of stayed at one of their resorts instead. When we return we will definitely stay at a Disney Resort.

I started reading reviews after I booked our vacation and I became a little scared after reading all of the bad reviews. I will honestly tell you that I was more than suprised when we checked in. The room was great !!!. No ants, bed bugs or roaches. Everything in the room worked...... We had a nice view from the patio. The resort is off of 192 and you are close to everything. Restaurants, drug stores, Target, and the theme parks are not too far. We stayed in Bldg 27... We had a great time and I look forward to our next trip there.
