We looked all around and settled on a standard Disney resort when a online deal for this place popped up. We stayed in a two bedroom condo. The rooms was nice. It was not 5 star but we paid 3 star prices. The room was clean and spacious. There were two bedrooms which was perfect for three adults and two kids (grandma had her own space). It was not super plush but we did not travel to DIsney for the hotel. I would recommend this place for a family who needs the space and willing to rent a car. Don't expect to be overwhelmed but satisfied when the kids can be sent to the other room as your recover from all the walking. even without the online deal, this place was comparable in price to the marriotts and hiltons for one double room.

I was completely and totally appalled at the state our one bedroom condo was in. Mold was growing on the windows, an 80's style vinyl couch in the living room, and a horrible smell. It was truly shocking after having checked in at a beautiful front desk area. We went back and were given another 1 bedroom that was equally appalling and this one hadn't been properly cleaned. I called the front desk from my car and politely but firmly expressed my displeasure. Kuddos to the staff for doing what needed to be done to make the customer happy. We were "upgraded" to a two bedroom condo that was idyllic. I felt like I went from a 3rd world country to a 1st world country. The contrast was shocking.

The two bedroom was clean and bright with modern decorations and furnishing. Very spacious with a lovely screened in porch. The master suite was HUGE and the whirlpool tub was just what we needed after a rather trying check-in experience. The manager went out of her way to check us in personally, walk through with us, and leave us her personal contact info. We were even given free internet. In short, she exhibited proper customer service.

Mystic Dunes definitely redeemed themselves. However, the contrast between the 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom is so shocking I can't given them more than a 3 star. Be warned and don't settle for less!

Random note: there are NO hot tubs at any of the pools.

Room Tip: Don't settle for a 1 bedroom condo!

We recently stayed at the Mystic Dunes Resort for the first time and we LOVED it! The grounds are spotless, the pools are fun, the staff was friendly and helpful and the room -- I mean condo ---
was spotless! We felt like we walked into our own home (except this was cleaner than our house!!). Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with a full kitchen. We will definetly be back.

When you pull into the gated resort you are thinking WOW how absolutely beautiful. Nicely landscaped and well maintained. We were early but decided to see if room was available which it wasn't. That was okay - we expected that. We took advantage of a GROUPON deal and the rate was really discounted. We were told someone would call us when the room was ready but no ever called - so we showed up at 4pm (check-in time)...In fact when we called earlier that day to verify our reservation no one answered the phone...we sat for over 30 minutes and finally just hung up...

The main office was very crowded with other guest waiting for their rooms...and you did get harrassed by people trying to get you to stay for a timesharing presentation so be ready for that fun....Around 4:30 we finally got our room key. Again no problem really.

Our building had an elevator which was very nice and we headed towards an end unit. The room was somewhat disappointing in appearance. It was clean enough and large enough..but it lacked decor - it seemed very plain and ordinary looking...not matchine the exterior grounds of the resort - it looked like a standard hotel room...

The room was mostly tile flooring except in the bedroom around the bed. It could have used some long runners and rugs to make it look a little more homey...and to cut down the echo/hollow sound when you walked or talked...

The living had one couch. But it definitely could have used a nice arm chair and a small dining table. There were chairs along the counter but I don't find that comfortable to eat in that manner...maybe if I was very young it would be fun...

There was small flatscreen which was nice enough and a regular TV in bedroom..nice enough.

The kitchen was small but stocked with plates, utensils, coffee pots, full size refrid, microwave, small stovetop (no oven)...good enough for a temporary stay...

Bathrrom was big enough. Towels were thin and hotel like...not great but doable. They has extra toilet paper and that was nice...a lot of places don't. There was a large jacuzzi/tub in next to the bed. There was a small shower in bathroom...

Bed looked like a small queen or maybe a double?? Not very comfortable. Did have extra pillows so that was nice..

We didn't have a balcony - just a door that had a rail against it....other rooms had screened balcony but ours didn't...that was disappointing.

Overall the condo was just okay...not what you would expect when you first arrive...thinking the condo inside must look as lovely/inviting as the outside grounds - but our condo definitely didn't as many others have also pointed out..

I don't know if I would stay here again....there are too many other places around Orlando. If we were interested in the timeshare - this would not be the place...

Our 2 bedroom was clean, beautiful spacious, luxurious, great view of golf course. airy, kitchen was big. 2 couples, both enjoyed it. Shuttle golf carts were amazing, Large resort. My brotherinlaw was not happy that he couldnt explore behond the paths and he could not take the bicycles out of the resort.; A little far to get groceries, Kenzie's was the best restaurant so far on a Diamond resort. Good rate, great food. The tiki bar at the main pool near our building (waterfall) was great. Great service and friendly. The pool was amazing too.

Room Tip: THe 2 bedrooms are amazing.

We stayed at this resort several years ago when it was fairly new and were very happy with everything. We were planning another vacation in the Orlando area and when we came across a good deal on the resort through Groupon.com, we jumped at it and booked 4 nights. We arrived to check in at 4:00 pm. The grounds were just as we remembered them...impeccable! We were told the rooms were not ready yet. Not a good start, but it happens, so not a real concern. Over an hour later, after checking back twice as requested, we got our room keys. Getting out of the lobby was another issue, as you are harrassed by other staff, insisting that you participate in their time-share presentation. Now you know why the rooms were discounted! After surviving that, we got to our "villa". What a disappointment! Although the suite had just been cleaned, it appeared grungy and dirty. The furniture was the same furniture that had decorated the suites on our original visit years ago...sadly in need of replacement, showing obvious signs of wear and tear. The entire suite was in desparate need of a total renovation. The bathroom vanity literally had chunks of wood out of the doors and shelves, the flooring needed replacement, there was no hot water in the kitchen, the microwave was beyobd cleaning/repair, etc., etc. The entire suite simply needed a major facelift and serious updating. I can not imagine somone purchasing a time-share unit at this resort and then finding themselves in a suite like this. I'm sure the sales pitch involved a much different model suite. All in all, I wouldn't give this resort/hotel anymore than 3 stars, and that would be generous. I will iot be staying there again...at any price. There are much better hotels/resorts for the same cost.

Room Tip: View your suite before committing to avoid surprises and stay away from ground floors due to air con...

I stayed at the mystic dunes golf resort. It was the absolute worst room I have ever had. The decor is cheap and cheesy. The dishes were dirty in the room. The entire room needs updating. It looks like an old apartment that was poorly converted into a resort. The couch was dirty, dingy and uncomfortable. The mattress on the bed was hard. There was no convenient place to get ice. There was no house keeping after check in. The bedroom with the jacuzzi tub has no ventilation so the entire room becomes moist and soggy if you use the jacuzzi tub. The jacuzzi tub itself is so loud that you can't even hear the person your in the tub with unless you speak loudly. The one restaurant it has serves mediocre food at best. The staff is unfriendly and seemingly uncaring. I am a frequent traveler and I will not be back.
