We stayed at the RV park, yea the sites were tight, but anywhere you are on the water now days is going to be. We got close to our neighbors, that was fun. We took bikes into town and one of the kayak guys even brought us rental kayaks and we played in the bay right behind our rv. The sunsets were unbelievable. We were in a popup, I am enclosing a picture of the view from our window.
We ate some of the best seafood, our trip was a blast!!!

I really needed a vacation, and this was the most relaxing place I could ever have gone to. I sat on the dock reading a book watching the birds feed. I rented a kayak and went to a private island about a mile off the coast, I took a lunch with me, sat and read my book totally alone. The cute little shacks along the streets gave me some of the most wonderful photos. I paint and will have lots to work from. There were several really great restaurants, the locals were so helpful. My room had murals painted on the walls, I slept so well, they even provided coffee and homemade muffins in the clubhouse each morning. I felt like I was staying in a B&B. You should make this your next vacation spot.

I had heard from a few friends that Cedar Key was a great place for rest & relaxation. They were so right. The weather was great, warm sunny days & cool, nights. I cannot describe the serenity or the beauty of the nighttime sky & water, it was pure wonderment!. The festival was loaded w/arts & crafts, but lacking in the food & drink category. The restaurants & seafood shops were very good. The no-seeums were prevalent, don't know if it's like that year-round or not. We stayed at the Sunset Isle RV Resort. The people are very accomodating & child & pet friendly. Had an ice cream social on Sat. night for anyone that wanted. Also, had free coffee & doughnuts each morning. All in all, I give it a 4 out of 5.
