Natures Landing Condominium
Reviewed July 6, 2013

This Condo was clean and spacious and most importantly it allowed my small dog to come on vacation with us. The town has a fishing pier and a few restuarants (we enjoyed our meal at a Seafood Restuarant "All You Can Eat" a later review), after eating so much we walked to the pier and visited shops, and saw fishermen fishing, with a beautiful sunset. There are NO fast food restuarants probably the closest is 50 to 100 miles away. Our condo had a stove and there was a small grocery store so we shopped and ate in thereafter. If you like nature walks there is one behind the Condo. Fishing, just wished we had brought fishing gear would have been fun to fish not much to do otherwise. There is a small pool and we found ourselves sitting on the back porch enjoying Nature. One night there were loud people outside our condo which woke us it is our understanding it does happen (people tend to stay here to fish and drink). Otherwise it was very quiet a definate getaway from our busy lives.

Room Tip: If you get a Condo higher up better views. Although, not sure if the higher rooms include allowing...

We spent a few nights here in March. The 1 bedroom condo has a nice spacious layout with an en-suite bathroom and a powder room. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped. The best thing was the view of the sky and over the mangrove. We saw birds flying by in the distance all the time. We enjoyed the walk along the bayou at the back and saw many birds there too. The pool was nice. We could leave our long tandem bike under the building in the parking area. We walked every morning along the bayou outback, then along the shore in front of the other condo buildings and the other condo resort nearby, along the beach and to the dock area. We hope to return!

We rented the "Mudflat Molly's" condo which is owned by Harbor Master Suites on the dock. Nature's Landing lies along the edge of the bayou and every condo has northerly views onto the natural beauty and bird activity. Pelicans, great egrets, osprey, ducks, anhinga, gulls, blue heron and probably dozens more species swoop, play and feed constantly. The patio is more entertaining than TV. The condo is sparkling clean, well equipped and comfortable. The full kitchen enables prep of local seafood. Island Room restaurant is a block away and super excellent. Don't even think about visiting Cedar Key without having Tony's award winning clam chowder. We stayed four days and left totally relaxed. More fun than blood pressure meds!

We stayed at Natures Landing when visiting family in the area - what a nice place to relax after a day of visiting family! Walking distance to all the restaurants in town made this a perfect place to stay. The particular condo we were in was nice, but needs some attention to detail. There was only one blanket that was ripped that we used on the sofa bed, but we needed blankets on the other beds as well. For a unit that sleeps 6, there should have been and additional chair or two in the living area so that everyone can sit down to watch TV. The lighting in the master bedroom was also lacking. The kitchen was insufficiently stocked with utensils and silverware. I don't think anyone had been in the condo for a while, as there was dust on the ceiling fans - it went flying when we turned on the fan. Mary in the office was super nice and helpful - knowledgeable on the history of the area and things to do. We had a corner unit, and the noise of the 12 air conditioning units when they came on made it unpleasant to be on the balcony. That said - we would stay there again, just in a different unit.

Room Tip: Stay away from the corner rooms - they air conditioners are noisy when you are outside.

Stayed in unit b103. The unit was very clean and nicely appointed. The owners have stocked the condo completely. The location is excellent as it is directly above the pool and offers a nice view of the water and marsh lands. The center of town is only a few short blocks away ( about a ten minute walk) . This is a very relaxing vacation. If you have sprint cel phone it wont work on the island....at&t will work. Free wifi offered at the condo.

From visit to visit I'm conscious of the fact that very little changes here and that's entirely its charm. The Dock loses the odd bar or restaurant and another slides into its niche. High season here is never rushed-off-your-feet busy, so low season is distinctly quiet. The Chamber of Commerce organises Food Festivals and celebrations throughout the year, which brings the crowds across the bridges from the mainland and many make a beeline for Nature's Landing.
Manager Tina welcomed us like old friends and settled us into one of the smaller units. Within minutes we had unpacked binoculars and camera and were fixated on an Osprey, perching close by on a mooring dock. Over a few days we saw White-Tailed sea eagles, Turkey Vultures, Herons, Egrets and many more wading and mud-probing birds. Tina organised fishing trips for us, through her contacts and even suggested places to eat. It was the complete service and we can't thank her enough for her kindness.
If you walk, fish, paddle or take pictures, Nature's Landing is the hub of Cedar Key.

Room Tip: The higher the better for views. They have an elevator too.

Truly and amazing experience this is my second time coming here for the Seafood Festival the weekend of Oct. 19-21st. We were lucky last year to book because during this festival all rooms everywhere on the Island is BOOKED!!! So didn't take any chances I booked again for 2013 festival. Tina the office manager always such a wonderful welcome to the guest upon check in and check out.

This place looks exactly like their website pages from the building itself to the rooms and I love the way it makes you feel like your are on a relaxing vacation. Beautiful large balcony with rocking chairs and a patio table with chairs if you want to sit out and just look over the marsh area.

Everything is in walking distances so you don't have to drive restaurants, nightclub, fishing pier, park.

All I can say is AMAZING did not want to return from this place I call my Paradise!

Room Tip: If you are booking during the SeaFood Festival you need to book now because most people book for the...
