“Disappointing”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

Had read other people's reviews and was disaapointed. The two pancakes were small, compared to other restaurants, for the amount charged. The entrance could do with mending as the screen door as in its current state allowed the inevitable biting flies in. My wife gets bitten a lot and the gaping hole in the screening did not help! Would not return!

“Good down home breakfast”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Really good biscuits and gravy. I enjoyed eating in the open air room. Not a bit hot and it was August so that was nice. Ate there two mornings in a row. Nothing fancy...just like something you would cook at home. Probably would visit again. Waitresses a little grumpy.

“Greasy grumpy But authentic”

That's about it; not great food, not smiley service. Perhaps only for locals. Would drive by next time

“Classic breakfast”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

We were looking for a breakfast place we could go with our dog and were referred here by a local shop owner. Of course, with the dog we had to eat outside on the porch, but those are the best tables in the place! Shaded deck area overlooking the water, very pretty and relaxing view. My husband and I ordered the basic eggs, mine over easy, his medium and they were cooked perfectly! Bacon a bit geasy but what the heck, the dog got what I didn't want! My husband was thrilled that grits were standard accompaniment and since he's the expert in that department, he declared them excellent! Obviously a local favorite, everyone knew everyone, we love that! The waitress was a little unhappy, but prompt service all the same. Would recommend without hesitation.

“Decent breakfast”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

After a horrible breakfast at Ken's Diner the day before, this place was a welcomed find. Decent food for a decent price. Grits were creamy, eggs cooked well, bacon was not burnt, and everything was served hot! Good service too!
