The Old Carrabelle Hotel is very unique Place.
Each Room is different and very charming.
We´ve been there just for one night as a stop over, but we really enjoyed that place.
As there were no other guests at that day,we had the complete guest house for us alone.

Room Tip: Any room looks great, as each room is different.

Skip and Kathy were great hosts. They made our first visit to a B&B very enjoyable. They were also very helpful with our travel plans to follow the coast line to Pensacola. The rooms were so comfy and yes they did remind me of staying at grandmas house. My sisters and I were very happy with our stay and definately make a stop at 2 Als restaurant. Tell the server that the 3 sisters just loved her. Also Skip we were going to harrass you about the weather there (not that much warmer than Nebraska) but we did miss a blizzard. Thanks so much and hope to see you guys again.

Julie and the Nebraska sisters! You made much more of an impression on Carrabelle than typical one-nighters! Krissy runs the dining room on Sundays, and has pretty much recovered by now, and we all hope your family comes this way again.

Many thanks to Cathy and skip for making our three days in the Hemingway room most enjoyable. Carrabelle brought back many fond memories of the Florida I remember 60 years ago. Breakfast choices at 2 Al's were fantastic. We have friends in McCarthy, AK. and met their neighbors at the hotel. Imagine, McCarthy has a population of 30 people and now we know 4 of them.

Well, Carrabelle has a population of 900 and we know more than 4!

It's funny, that we know 5 people who moved from here to Alaska or from there to here. Very radical change!

We will look forward to your next trip -- Way South and East!

Cathy and Skip are outstanding hosts at the OLD CARRABELLE HOTEL in Carrabelle, Fl. The house is beautifully furnished and each room has it's own unique ambiance. Carrabelle is such a relaxing yet interesting place to explore, enjoy the local color, and stroll along the almost deserted beach that's just waiting for your footprints.

Oklahoma doesn't have a lot of ocean beach, so we're glad you got to play on ours!

We stayed in the Captain's Quarters room with two double beds and a bathroom across the hallway. The beds were very comfy with lots of pillows of various firmness to choose from. It was in the 30s overnight, but there were extra blankets and quilts in the closet. In the morning the road noise got a little loud but it wasn't a problem overnight (no traffic!) and there were no big trucks or anything since its a small highway. The only thing I would change is to add a space heater for the bathroom for the cold mornings.

Overall, the hosts are friendly, the house is beautifully, but comfortably decorated, and I look forward to coming back someday!

It sounds as if all is well...almost. The floor register grate in the bathroom is new, and we have discovered that it's a step-on, step-off deal. It may have gotten closed while you were here, and that would explain the lack of heat.

We will continue to try to improve that item, and next time all should be well!
