We - a german couple - spend three wonderful months at this house and the owners made it feel like home to us. This is a great place to rent a boat and explore the Golf of Mexico nearby. You can start your adventure from your doorstep.
Everything from shopping to entertainment is very close. If you love to relax you'll find yourself in a beautiful garden, sitting at the dock or at the pool and enjoy the view!
We've already booked the house for next fall.
Great location. Immaculate. This was very welcoming and just perfect. The welcome goodies were a great touch and just what we needed since we got in late. We would definitely try to visit here again.
We spent 2 wks at Palm Grove in Jue 2017. Everything was perfect. When we arrived there was a lovely care package from Margo. All immediate essentials- chips, cookies, bagels, cream cheese, orange juice and milk. Met the owners the next day and we struck up an instant friendship. We will definitely. check with the Stafford's first. The house was clean and very comfortable. All that you would need is there. The view to the canal is breath taking.. ...Dolphins and manatees were morning visitors at the dock.
I feel that I owe a review for Palm Grove, we have visited multiple times for a couple of years now and will continue to do so. But I am torn because Palm Grove is so perfect, we almost want to keep it a secret.
Cape Coral is a relaxed place and everyone is very friendly, the kids love it and our family are all nature, fishing, boating and beach lovers.
On one of the wide canals and perfectly placed to wake up to the morning sun, the location couldn’t be better if you had to pick anyone yourself. Perhaps it might be nice to be right on the river and not on a canal at all, but you wouldn’t get the shelter then. It’s a short drive (you can walk it easy) or bike ride to the town, which has pretty much everything you might need.
Having done a lot of research and being a boater in the UK, I wanted to find somewhere that gave good boating access to the river, we looked at lots of places which were epic, but you might have to spend 30 mins and go through locks and all-sorts just to get in from the river, not what you want after a day on the water and if you are going late in the year, when it gets dark quite early, this can significantly shorten a day out on the water.
Palm Grove is less than 5 minutes from the river, no locks, just a right turn in about 500 yards and you are there. It was for this reason that we picked this villa for our first visit.
The villa is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and at the time of writing, has an empty grass plot next door, making it feel uncramped.
By Cape Coral standards, this place is not new, if you are looking for bling LED lighting, TV’s that pop out of the bed or just the ultimate WOW factor, you might want to continue your search.
Palm Grove is very well appointed, decent TV’s in all the rooms, aircon keeps everything cool, the bathrooms are nice with seemingly endless hot water and the garage is easy to use, with an electric door and access from the house.
The WIFI is connected to super-fast broadband now, so you could watch a different HD movie on netflix in every room at the same time if you wanted.
The kitchen has everything you could want and is immaculate and the garage has ice boxes, fishing stuff, bikes and other stuff you might want to use during your stay.
The layout is very flexible, with 3 large double rooms, all with their own bathroom, I’d challenge anyone to not find a way to make it work with their family, young or old.
An important factor for us, we spend almost everyday, all day using it. The area is full of islands you can explore, beaches you can find and restaurants you can eat at. The fishing is amazing, with dolphins popping up to see you wherever you go. All this is only possible with a decent boat and the on that comes with this property is perfect. Always well maintained by the owner, well equipped and big enough to be comfortable but small enough to lift the engine and pull yourself out of trouble if you get in shallow water/stuck on the beach. There is a fuel dock just round the corner and the dock is easy to use and a great place to sit and watch the sunrise.
Earl & Margo have great attention to detail and live only a few minutes away. Having the owners maintain a property can be a double edge sword, I have experienced owners becoming overbearing and making you feel uncomfortable at some places, but this isn’t the case here, you might see them when you arrive and before you leave, mainly to deal with the boat paperwork and handover. If you need them, they are there, but they won’t drop in unannounced for a chat or to check up on things without letting you know.
The huge advantage is that if there is a problem or something you want sorted, especially with the boat, then it gets done, right away. No waiting for an agent to try and contact the owner, get approval, find a contractor and book a job in. If you had problem with the boat at another place, it might be the end of your stay before it got sorted. No chance of that here. This is the case regardless of how you rent Palm Grove.
They are also on the end of the phone, so if you need to reboot the wifi, can’t get a tv working or just have a question, they are happy to help and always responsive.
Can’t recommend it enough, but don’t all start booking it up please.

As a family of 4 we stayed 2 weeks in July and had a very pleasant time.
The house is very clean and has all the amenities you need.
The location is excellent when you want to use the boat - 5mins to the river, and very quiet neighborhood. The owners, Margot and Earl, are very nice and helpful people.
We would like to go back.
