The restaurant is within walking distance but we stopped going here several years ago. I'm a firm believer in the statement "A good steak doesn't need steak sauce" The steaks always had a preservative or MSG taste. With Texas Roadhouse in the area we opted to not have steak.
Our server was quick to take drink order and deliver the drinks.
We had cheese fries app and it was very good.Appetizers half price during happy hour.
We sat at a booth in the bar area so got seated immediately. Bar area seemed like a pick up scene for senior citizens. They all seemed to know each other and were quite boisterous.
My wife had soup and a salad and I had coconut shrimp with chicken.
The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. They did seem a little mushy and not a lot of flavor but not horrible. With so many good seafood restaurants in the area with fresh shrimp it's hard to beat that taste of freshness.
The shrimp were so big that I was to full to eat the chicken.
I had the chicken a day later at home and it was very good.
My wife loved the potato soup she had and did say her salad was fresh. My house salad was very good and fresh.
My beer cost more than my wife's Margarita.
Cost wise the price is similar to what we usually pay for a meal when we go out around $30.
The restaurant seemed clean and as usual the place was packed by the time we left.
Will probably go back again.
