A great place to walk on a board walk through the forest. Has signs to tell you of different species of trees. Takes about 45 min. depending how long you view the water ( River) at two different places

“Very nice place to take a walk and educational”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Educational and a nice walk on the boardwalk. It is good that there are places like Four Mile Cove Ecological to Preserve these natural places.

“good way to move through Mangroves”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

The boardwalk is one of the best ways to travel through the Mangroves and when we visited we saw numerous birds. It's good that the reserve was created, otherwise cape Coral would have sprawled all over it.

“Nice place to learn about the local fauna and flora”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

It isn't anything exciting but it is a lovely walk through different types of Florida landscape. The views off of the piers during the walk are lovely, and the potential for wildlife spotting is certainly there, we just didn't see any.

Our 4 and 5 year old's love to go on "adventures" and this was perfect for the day before we headed home to Illinois. Our older boys are both avid outdoors men so they just enjoyed meandering about the mangroves.

And as others have said the trails are all wooden so it was a very easy walk.
