We had family in town so decided to give Bubba's a try. We arrived for dinner about 6:30 and had to wait about an hour for seating, but had been told the wait would be about 30 minutes. We had to wait outside as the inside waiting area was full, patio was closed and bar was full.
When we were finally seated we were stuck beside a pole causing one of our family to sit sideways by the pole. The tables are placed extremely close together and it was incredibly noisy, no way to have a conversation unless you wanted to yell at each other, which is what it seemed everyone in the restaurant was doing in order to be heard. The restaurant was quite smoky from the grills. If you are expecting atmosphere go somewhere else as it is very dark and dreary inside.
We were greeted within a few minutes, our drink order taken and when she returned she took our order. The salads arrived quickly and were quite large. The food was good, large quantities which meant we had lots of leftovers. The prices were reasonable.
If we were to eat here again it would be in the afternoon in the hope it would be less busy and we could have a conversation without yelling. You should not eat here if you are expecting to have a quiet, leisurely dinner with nice conversation.
