“Excellent service by Vinny! ... and the food was very good”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

We went to Iguana Mia with two other couples for drinks and supper.

First off I have to compliment our server Vinny, who was polite, funny, professional, and knowledgeable of the menu selections.

For our starters we had the salsa and chips with a dish of guacamole. We also had an order of nachos that were complimented with the shredded chicken and black beans. For entres we had steak & chicken fajitas, pechuga superior, and quesadillas. Everything was very good, hot, and a large serving.

Everybody was very please with our choice to spend our last evening in Cape Coral.

“TexMex”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

The food at Iguana Mia is consistent. We have gone here for years. Though we often have to wait they move people in and out like a breeze. When they say 20 minutes it may be 10-15, a real plus.

“You could do better at home.”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

This is about as authentic Mexican as my pets are. Poor preparation, no excitement in the execution, poor chips although some are impressed by size, not much substance when you really take a look. Not even a chile rellano or tostada on the mundane menu. If you are in the mood for a few flautas with rice and beans, its your place. Tacos mush out by being served with the liquid from the rice and beans underneath and don't have much saying about themselves anyway. Stay away is my best advice.

“Psst...Gyros & Chicken Pita Truck!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Don't miss the truck parked three buildings east of Iguana Mia - in the NAPA parking lot. It is incredibly good!

The German guy who runs the truck is a gem: so friendly, joyous & funny. The girl working there (from Ohio) was equally charming. They quickly prepared our food to order & I was amazed by how positively fresh & tasty our gyros were! (I was apprehensive when I approached the truck expecting maybe unsanitary conditions or something odd or disgusting. How wrong was I! It is scrupulously clean & they have a large fridge onboard. The gyros are not made ahead and kept in a warmer - they are grilled on the truck!)

He has a special buy 3, get one free, so we thought to buy extras for our El Salvadorian friends who live in Cape Coral. Our friends had never heard of this place and did not know what gyros are. Guess what? They love these gyros & were sure to get the exact location from us so they can return!

If an El Salvadorian grandma who has never heard of a gyro loves this place you might want to give it a try, too.

“Excellent food & service!”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

The food and menu were outstanding as was the service. When we were ready to go, we took our leftovers with us- enough for another meal. We had some quest dip left and they gave us a paper bag full of chips to go with it. Our waiter, Vinnie, was excellent!
