I was lucky enough to dine at Fletcher's a couple of weekends ago and was completely impressed with the specials, selections and most of all my meal. There are so many unique appetizer choices - From duck to stuffed mushrooms and lettuce wraps - all of which were superb. Each meal at our table of 7 was perfect - like works of art. All special requests were followed and suggestions from the chef were enjoyed. James Thompson, the executive cheff, certainly understands what it takes to create a wide variety of choices to impress and satisfy any appetite but remembers to pay attention to every last detail as well. From goat cheese stuffed ravioli with mink fish and lobster, macadamia crusted grouper to a variety of steak selections - all perfect. Bravo to James and Fletcher's - what I would consider as the only place for a fantastic meal in Cape Coral.

We had lunch here a while ago when it was The Hangout, and were quite disappointed. The place has gone through several incarnations over the last two years under the same owner; this latest seems to be a keeper.
First, there were quite a few folks there enjoying themselves (off-season, too!) In the past, both the time we went there and just driving by regularly, it appeared there was very little custom at lunchtime.
There is evidently a new chef, and the menu has been revved up; some old favorites (eg. quesadillas), but many new interesting-sounding dishes, several of which we are eager to try. Today we shared the Siam (or Slam?) Ki shrimp appetizer, a worthy competitor for the "Bam-Bam" or "Dynamite" shrimp everyone is serving: 8 fresh, perfectly cooked lightly-breaded Gulf shrimp on a bed of shredded jicama salad with a light, slightly spicy sauce; different, and delicious. Then we shared the French dip sandwich, accompanied by very good seasoned French fries; the sandwich was good without being great. We appreciated having our order served on two plates with the sides evenly divided, a nice touch. Wine list has a number of interesting items at reasonable markups, although there are some very good wines available that they could offer at lower prices. Service by Gina was attentive and pleasant. Our big complaint was the single espresso coffees to finish up, a thimbleful, less than we have ever been served anywhere in our lives; we complained, and were not charged for them, a credit to the restaurant, but they really should get the machine reset. Don't know how much they would have cost, but anything over 30 cents would have been gouging, and at that stage why bother?
We were happy to be able to watch the Wimbledon Men's semi-finals on a wide-screen TV; these are positioned at various locations throughout most of the spacious restaurant, but high up, and with no sound, so it is very easy to ignore them.

This past weekend we decided to try something new with friends and extended family visting. After deciding to stay in the Cape, we settled on Fletchers Grille&Spirits after reading the positive reviews. BOY, WHAT A TREAT!!!

Very accomdating for our larger party and everyone was smiling and friendly. We started with appetizers and all were OUTSTANDING!!! The Duck Drummettes are truely a MARVEL. The Tuna Wontons and Lettuce Wraps are also outstanding. For Entrees, we decided on the Grouper Special for the evening. Words cannot describe how amazing it was!!! Amazing Pink Moscato sauce with chunks of lobster and monkfish on a Macadamia crusted piece of Grouper. My husband had a Tomahawk Veal Chop which proclaimed was amazingly delicious.

For dessert, we sampled some of the Gelatos and the Banana Eggrolls, which truely ended this experience on a high note. Everything was FANTASTIC! Our server Sarah was truely a professional and on top of everything. We also had the privelage to meet the new chef of the establishment, James. This young man is extremely talented and personable. Needless to say, our party was extremely impressed with all facets of this operation.

We have been visiting this establishment since 2006, and it is great to see the bar has been raised to a new level. Since becoming Fletchers, each visit surpasses the last. Very exciting to have a local place that is full of culinary twists and excitement. This establishment is exactly what the Cape needed!!! We will be telling evveryone about the Cape's newest dining gem.

Went to Fletcher's the other night with a group of friends. I ordered one of their "gourmet burgers." One of the best burgers I've had in a while. Our server, Stephen, was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. I will definitely return and recommend to others.
