I stayed one night at Casa Loma and for what I was expecting, it was ok. I found a special on the rooms and got a good deal with a canal view but when I checked it, I was given a street view on the second floor. I immediately noticed the noise from the street and went back to the lobby to check my reservation. I did reserve a canal room and they moved me to the ground floor in the other building. The room was ok but dated and the door surface bolt was broken and non functional. I was told all the rooms have a kitchen area with a small fridge. They turn the fridge off and leave the door propped open. I did find the fridge useful after turning it on and letting it get cold. They really want to rent you a fishing pole for $10 a day since they have signs everywhere offering this option. Judging by the quality of the rods I think half that price would be more in line so I passed on the offer. I thought the parking lot was a little small but I was able to find a place to park every time I left and returned although at full capacity I am not so sure I would. I did hear some noise from the room directly above me, the sound seems to travel between rooms easily. This was a decent one night stay at the right price, but I would not recommend it for any kind of vacation destination.
