Our first visit to Cape Coral - we went to "The Joint at Cape Harbour". Cape Harbour is a beautiful marina-condo-restaurant-shopping area. Friends recommended "The Joint" as it was close to where we were staying. The Joint has a modern, arty inside dining area, comfortable tables and chairs, clean, well-decorated, very attractive. There is a large outside porch - an eating area which overlooks the harbor-marina and many expensive boy toys, e.g. 45 + foot long yachts. Outside was full, and we could be seated inside immediately - so we chose "eat now".
The menu has a variety of salads, sandwiches, small pizzas, wings, and more. We had the day's specials, a blackened mahi sandwich for me, and a salad with herbed brie for my wife.
Service was fast and excellent. Drink orders were taken and served, food orders taken and served, and dishes removed fast when done.
The food was delicious. I had hoped for more of a dinner menu vs. casual/bar styles, but was very happy with the mahi, and snuck a taste of her herbed brie - very good as well.
The table next to us had a young family, with a son perhaps three years old, and a younger brother in high chair. The three year old was unhappy, quite vocally, and cried quite a bit, and for a rather long while. After he was picked up and walked around a few minutes, and the food was served to their table, he calmed down, and we all enjoyed very nice dinner out.
