Saves you the expense of the trip to Italy. Bring your own wine and share with mom in the kitchen. One of our favorites.

My wife and I visited this restaurant on 8/18/12 @ 5:30pm and had a horrible experience. For starters the "new" restaurant is small with 7 or 8 tables total and a bar area. While we were seated almost right away, the waitress (there were two of them) took over 10 minutes to bring us a menu and other 10 minutes to ask us for our order.

Since we were just "test driving" the food, we placed an order for 2 slices of pizza each, drinks and a salad. The menu said they sell pizza by the slice so that's what we ordered. The waitress placed the order with the owner/cook Vinnie Tumminello and we heard him tell the waitress "I ain't selling no pizza by the slices tonight!" The waitress returned to our table and said that she was very sorry but Vinnie said he's not going to sell the slices even though they appear on the menu tonight.

Since we were already served drinks she apologized and told us the coke was on the house. We were so disgusted that we traveled all the way from Estero to visit this new restaurant we simply left.

Our thoughts are that a restaurant should serve what's on its menu or take the item off. He had no reason not to serve slices as advertised on the menu AND IN THE NEWSPAPER yet he choose to disappoint a customer because he would rather sell a whole pie.

We will never return to the restaurant.

My husband and I had dinner at this wonderful authentic Italian restaurant in Cape Coral. It is family-owned and the food is amazing! It is all truly homemade and the portions are generous. The Lasagna was "to die for"! My husband had the Chicken Parmagiana which was also wonderful! The homemade cannoli was also great! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for "true" homemade Italian food! We will return again soon.

They moved to 1211 E Cape Coral Pkwy. Had been craving for days and thought they had closed. Had pasta for dinner tonight. Has been a long time favorite for pizza and love the rice balls - not to mention the homemade Cannolis.

We had lunch here for the umpteenth time in early June (wrote an earlier review last August). We're glad to see all the much-deserved favorable reviews. The caponata and eggplant rollatini make wonderful appetizers; manicotti, lasagna, and the Italian sausage, chicken parmegian, and meatball sandwiches are delicious; pizza is excellent; we've seen folks get the veal parmegian and rave about it, though we haven't tried it ourselves. Portions are generous, and mama's truly outstanding tomato sauce, meatballs, and cannolis are as as good as any you'll ever taste. It's lovely to be able to bring your own wine, and people do.
As I said last time, the welcome and atmosphere are warm and convivial, we always feel like we're being hosted by old friends. This is not fast food, you have to wait a bit for freshness and quality, but conversations with Vinnie and the occupants of other tables make time fly. Take-out is available, but do call ahead.
Don't be discouraged if you go by & find LST closed: a big increase in lease has led Vinnie e famiglia to move to a new location, in the town Center on Cape Coral Parkway. They hope to reopen by the end of July; we'll just have to wait a bit...
