“Good Food, Horrible Service”

We went there on a saturday night with six people (3 couples) Our waiter Jeffrey was extremely rude and pushy. He had an attitude from the moment we sat down. This guy has no business being a waiter. We ordered drinks, and he said he would be back to get our appetizers order. 15 minutes later! he came back to take our appetizer orders, I told him the appetizer order (we ordered a total of 5 starter dishes) then he says, "and what would you like for your entrees?" He was pushing us to order our entrees while taking our appetizer orders! He was so rude and had so much attitude that I actually asked him if he was having a bad night. He said "I dont have to take your entree orders now if you dont want me too," and walked away.
He comes back another 15 or 20 minutes later and takes our entree orders. I must say the food was very good. I ordered Surf and Turf and it was very well prepared and tasted great,. We all tried to enjoy our food and did our best not to let this guy and his horrible attitude ruin our night. We finished our food, and when this guy finally got around to coming back to check on us, he did not offer dessert or coffee, even though we wanted to order both. When we politely said we'd like to order coffee and dessert, this guy literally says nothing, turns his head and walks away. We weren't even sure if he was going to come back to take the dessert order. 20 minutes later!!! He came back and started rattling off the dessert choices. At this point we just said forget it, and asked for our check and to speak to the General Manager. The manager apologized and was friendly enough, but the damage had been done.
Then, inspite of horrible service, the waiter added a 20% gratuity to our checks! I understand this is policy if it's a party of six or more, but I guess the guy assumed that he didnt have to give us friendly service because the tip would be added anyway. We asked the manager to remove the gratuity charges, which he promptly did.
It's a shame me or none of my 5 other friends who were with me that night will never return here. The food was great, but the attitude and service will not bring us back.

“Needs some fine tuning, such as a new chef.”

Recently took a friend here to celebrate his birthday. We came early and ordered the twilight dinners. The decor is excellent. The view is great, The servers are very well trained. Only problem is the food, which is after all why we came. My steak was just average, and the potatoes had hot spices in them. My wife had salmon on a bed of rice with, guess what, hot spices in it also. Someone needs to make the chef aware that people want spices when ordering spicy items, but not in our potatoes or rice. I did eat most of my potatoes, but she passed on her rice and left it. The presentation was very appealing, so the food was a bit disappointing. There were lots of empty tables. Many places with better food in Cape Coral. May try it again if I learn they have a new chef.

“A great birthday treat!”

Six of us enjoyed brunch Halloween Sunday, a first visit for four of the six of us. Reservations were taken, although we chose to eat in rather than out. Couldn't have been nicer. Omelets made to request were perfectly done, as was a waffle enjoyed later. Others in our group enjoyed their food. And complimentary mimosas, bloody marys or a glass of champagne were followed by others. Drinks were generously made. It's a special treat to have this new dining facility in our beautiful Cape. It shouldn't have any trouble surviving our economic slump, but Cape residents need to get out and support Marker 92 instead of complaining that we don't have that many fine dining experiences so conveniently located to those of us who call Cape Coral home.

“Much better than the "other" marina resort restaurant”

The extensive use of wood on the floors and ceiling is very dramatic. It has such a cool look.
The menu is upscale but not overly ambitious and delivers nicely on expectations. Average price for entrées are about $20.00. Local fish specials are always good. Steaks are done just the way you order them. Take a pass on most of the special cocktails like rumrunners etc. Ok wine list not to over priced. Always friendly service. Nice outside seating, just not at dusk unless you have already bug sprayed yourself. If you want to experience upscale dining in the SW Cape, don't pass this one up.
