We enjoyed our 6 day stay here. The rooms and resort were top notch, the pool is good, and the staff is completely helpful. The only complaint I have is the pillows were terrible. For as great as everything else at the place is, I'm surprised the pillows were something out of a Motel 6.....but hey, if that's the only thing I can complain about the room it must be a pretty darn good place. Depending on what you are doing in the area, the location may not be the greatest. It took us over 30-45 minutes to get anywhere (Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel, spring training ball parks, etc). Since we were in town mostly for baseball, it made it kind of a pain. One thing to keep in mind - there is NO wireless internet above the 2nd floor so bring a network cable since there is a jack in the room. We each made 2 visits to the spa - the first time the service was pleasant, the environment was relaxing and we were incredibly satisfied. The second trip was the opposite - not so friendly, not quite relaxing, and pretty disappointed. I'm not sure we would go back there but the one good visit was great.....

We stayed at the Marina Village again this year because of the wonderful time we had last year. We had a very good time, but this time we saw some flaws in the armor. We showed up early on the day of check in and were told that our room was not ready. But because we were waiting, they were going to call housekeeping and get them to clean the room asap. Well it took over 2 hours for them to get our room ready. 2 hours? How can that be? So needless to say, we started out on the wrong foot. In addition, one evening early in the vacation, the kids wanted to rent a movie off of the tv. That didn't work so we called the front desk and they were going to work on it and get back to us. Every day for the next 5 days we complained about it. Every day they said they were working on it and every day they were going to get back to us. Well they never got back to us and it never did work. Otherwise the only other complaint was that when it rained, the satellite tv wouldn't work. So when the weather was bad and the only thing there was to do was watch tv, the tv's wouldn't work and the movie rentals wouldn't work. Other than that, we really like the place. The people are friendly, it's quiet, clean, and very nice. There isn't a ton of people and this year we went to the other 2 pools that are just up the street. Those pools are also nice and not near as crowded. We love it at the Marina Village and I hope we can afford to stay there again next year.

This is a solid 4 star condo hotel. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and go beyond to make your stay the most enjoyable. Rooms on the Marina side are a bit noisy due to the open air bar downstairs. Exercise facilities are well maintained. The Dolphin tour was fantastic as we saw a pod of dolphins frolicking in the water showing of their young. A do not miss event! The two bedroom suite is well laid out for two couples and offers plenty of space. Would definitely recommend and go back.

What a beautiful resort!!! We were pleasantly surprised that the resort was just as beautiful as the photos! We had a 2 bedroom Sanibel Room and it was fantastic and the view was great. Enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony each morning. The kitchen had just about everything I needed. Knives were very dull though, and the blender wasn't any good for trying to make frozen drinks. Although the suite was very comfortable, I felt that the master bedroom was way too big, and the living area too small, they could have designed that better. Bathrooms were beautiful and had more than enough closet space. I believe these suites were designed for long term stays. Master bedroom has one small closet, a large walk-in closet, and a linen closet!! Guest bedroom also has a very large walk in closet, which my kids loved to play in. Also, the hotel does not have WiFi, only wired internet service. Beds and sofa were quite comfortable, though the chairs in the living area were not. More for show I guess.

Dining- The hotel's restaurant and poolside bar and grill are very expensive. But this is to be expected at a Marina. We found the dining options in Cape Coral to either be very expensive or not appealing. We went to Ft. Myers for most of our dinners.

Kids loved the pool! It was very nice. And there comfortable loungers all around. Sometimes it was hard to find a spot in the sun though. We did not get the chance to swim in the off-site pools, which were only a five minute walk away, but we did have a look and they were very nice as well. And very quiet, I believe these are mostly for residence and many hotel guests don't realize they are allowed to use these facilities as well. There was a lap pool and a regular pool. This is also where you find the tennis courts.

We did not have the chance to take the shuttle boat to the beach, or take the dolphin tour but I have heard these are wonderful, and free!!!

A five minute drive down the road took you to a brand new Public Park. There was even a seperate dog park. The playground area was great, and very safe for the kids. There are also walking trails through here and you can enter the preserve area, which is absolutely beautiful!

Our family of five stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and were extremely pleased with all aspects of the property. The location is quiet and peaceful, the room views are spectacular, the water system is calm and lake-like (technically a "river" flowing in to the Gulf), the food is excellent, and the spacious suites are new and appealing.
