I was staying with my brother, who at the time was working for Disney. I came to Florida to visit him for 5 days. Two of the five days we stayed here, because Disney was paying for the hotels and we had to move hotels.
The service here was awful. The manager of this hotel was very rude. The hotel said it had free wifi in each room. The wifi though did not work. The cookies they serve at the front desk are burnt all the time. The rooms are ok and the pool and breakfast are enjoyable. I do not reccomend staying at this hotel. We will never return to this hotel again because of the poor service. I complained to the hotel and got a free night on them at any country inn and suites
We were moved from the high quality Radisson to this place. This place is also overpriced for what you. If I was paying for this hotel I would have left in the first night.

We stayed here prior to a Disney cruise. We had rented a car from Hertz, which is located immediately adjacent to the hotel, and we used the Hertz shuttle to the ship. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The included breakfast buffet was fine with hot offerings as well as cold. It was pretty busy for breakfast as several cruise ships were leaving that day, but we did not have problems getting food or a table. We used our rental car to drive to a restaurant for dinner; I'm not sure how accessible restaurants are if you do not have a car. Overall, we thought this was a very convenient location and a good value.

We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites the night before our Disney Cruise on July 10th-15th. We were impressed with the service from the shuttle driver. When we returned from the cruise, we walked out of the port and the shuttle van was waiting for us. The driver helped us load our luggage and we were soon on our way back to the hotel, he unloaded right at our vehicle. We were greatly impressed. I had changed our reservation from another hotel in the area after reading a bad review, and we were able to save money in the process. We would highly recommend this hotel for families going on a cruise.

This is the second time my wife and I have used this hotel for a pre-cruise hotel and transfer to port. Oddly enough we even got the exact same room this time. The staff at the hotel are wonderful. The bake cookies for the guests all evening. Duwayne, the bus driver, is a very nice person and likes to entertain both on the way and back.

The hotel staff are very accommodating and always willing to serve! The room we have had has been clean, comfortable, and the bed is AWESOME!!! The breakfast is a hotel breakfast but it is hot and more than cereal. Bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, cereal, fruit, yogurt, french toast, Belgian waffles, etc. It is what you make of it. I like it!

Hint: (If you are going on a cruise eat cereal and/or fruit because in a few short hours you will be eating prime rib at a buffet!)

The hotel is a just a few blocks from Cocoa Beach. We have visited the pier both times and ate supper at Marlins on the pier. (It is the second restaurant out the pier.) I like the Gorgonzola bacon burger and fries! Take some change for parking meters or cash for pier parking just in case there is an event.

Parking at the hotel improved over last year when they had us parking in a grassy field.

They have a business center so you can do your last minute on line business and print prior to the cruise so you do not have to bring your laptop. (I never have had to wait to use a machine.)

I will be back to this hotel again for our next cruise from Port Canaveral. In fact I can already see the sign, the lobby, and of course the bed!

Thanks again Country Inn and Suites for a wonderful experience!

Room Tip: It is all good!

Thank you for you positive feedback! I am so glad you mentioned Duane! He is a true asset to our company and we are lucky to have him. Also thank you for mentioning our new parking lot, as we are very excited to have it completed and open. We all look forward to seeing you again, and I hope you had a wonderful cruise.

We visited this hotel as a side-trip from Disney, and were pleasantly surprised. We are a family of 5 so we reserved a "kids-suite" for a great rate online, and were happy to see that there were enough beds to accomodate our entire family without the blow-up matress that we usually travel with, and the kids even had their own television for the end of the day unwind. The pool is very nice, and you aren't too far from the beach (which was the primary purpose of our trip). The only downside to our stay was that the clothes dryer took several cycles to get our clothes dry. A minor inconvenience in an otherwise great stay.

We chose this hotel based on other TA reviews for people looking to stay a night before a cruise. I advise to stay elsewhere.

The room was large and did have a separate kids' sleeping area, which my daughter loved. The beds were not very comfortable. The tv went out when a big storm came through, so we simply hoped the hotel would notify us if we needed to take shelter. (They did not try to stop the people swimming in the pool while lightning was hitting all around.)

The front desk gave us bad information more than once. They misquoted the price of a van ride to NASA (she was wrong by half, which we didn't know until we went to pay!) When we asked about restaurants that deliver dinner, we were given menus to places that have no delivery service. They also were not clear or friendly about what times we could take the shuttle to the port.

Breakfast was not good.

Our stay ended with the ceiling above our toilet dripping water onto our heads and the front desk not particularly caring.

Room Tip: Chose a different hotel. There are several close together.

When: 06/24/11; What: 1 BR Suite; Price: $187, after tax.

The good: The hotel lobby smelled nice, the landscaping was immaculate, and the pool area was clean.

The mediocre: The breakfast buffet had a wide array to choose from, but was extremely over-crowded, with not enough tables/seating for the crowd gathered, and not enough staff on hand to keep the food and beverages stocked. There are vending machines on all floors, but the one on our floor was broken. The lobby serves warm cookies in the evening, but we checked in at 6:00 PM and they gave out the last cookies to the guests at the counter before us, whose children had already gotten cookies moments before, which disappointed our children.

The bad: There was mold in the bathroom and the hallways smelled like sewage, despite the inviting smell of the lobby. We booked a suite for 2 adults and 3 kids, and were given 3 towels, then had to go down and retrieve more from the lobby because they would not deliver more to the room. The shuttle process was probably the biggest confusion I've ever experienced at any hotel. Parking for Cruise Package guests was very limited. The Inn has two vans who shuttle passengers to the port and back. We called the hotel first thing in the morning on the day we were checking in and asked to be placed on the shuttle to the port at 10:30 AM the following day - because we'd seen warnings on the Cruise Critic message board about the shuttle service being less than efficient. When we checked in, our shuttle time was confirmed, and we thought everything was fine and dandy. To our amazement, we came downstairs to breakfast at 9:15 AM the next morning; the breakfast area was such a cluster, it took 45-minutes to get some cereal, eggs, and juice and find a table and eat. At 10:00 (30 minutes before our shuttle time) we walked outside with our luggage because the lobby and breakfast areas were completely full with people standing and sitting to wait on shuttles. Not a great sign. People were butting in line and getting on the shuttles as they arrived, there was absolutely no order to things and it quickly became apparent that the shuttle reservations meant nothing. The shuttle vans arrived and left at the exact same time and despite being five minutes from the port, it took them at least 30 minutes between trips. Taking the cue from another guest, at 11:00 AM we decided to ask the desk to call a taxi van to take us to the port, which cost us an additional $40 for our party of 5. The hotel did not apologize for the inconvenience nor offer to reimburse us when we made them aware that there were huge problems with the shuttle reservation system. We kept our pass for the return shuttle trip and hoped for the best.

No such luck. We arrived back in port and when we got off the ship, there was nothing clearly marked for the Country Inn & Suites shuttle, although the Radisson shuttle area was clearly marked. The port workers seemed to have no idea where the hotel's pickup area was, so we called the driver, who told us he would be "right back" to pick us up and to wait in area "C" outside the port. After 30 minutes and no shuttle in sight, we asked the two families in line in front of us how long they'd been waiting and found out that one had been there 45 minutes and one an hour, and they'd only seen one shuttle during that time. We went to the taxi stand, hailed a van, and spent another $40 getting back to the hotel, and called it a HUGE lesson learned. We cruise twice a year and this was the first time we didn't park at the port. Next time we'll stay at the Radisson, which has rave reviews, or incur the extra expense of parking two cars at the port.

I apologize for the confusion with the shuttle. The drivers have been with us 6 years and usually recieve the best feedback. Duane has 985 positive guest recognitions, more than any Carlson employee worldwide.
In the morning before we start taking guests to the cruise ship we have to bring all the guests back that just finished their cruise. When there are multiple ships coming in sometimes we do get behind. If the ship is late coming in or gets held up in customs it delays the guests getting off, which then delays our guests getting on. Unfortunately delays to the cruise ships do happen, and we try and accomodate everyone as best as possible. Again, I am very sorry for the delay in the shuttle and the experience is not normal for the hotel.
