I just had dinner at Millikens Reef and it was a great experience! There is live music behind the sand tiki bar that was very entertaining and family friendly. There are 3 very different bars at this restaraunt. Our waitress was very busy, depite that she was extremely personable and did an overall great job. The prices are good, free complementary hush puppies with cinnamon butter (delicious.) The drinks were fantastic, specials during happy hour ( $5 margaritas and long islands ) try it out guys. I think you will enjoy it!

This is a nicer restaurant, more up scale than some. The view is wonderful even if you are not seated at a window table. You see the cruise ships going out in the evening. We had a nice dinner starting with cocktails, which were good. We ordered a shrimp coctail to share (it had 6 shrimp) but our dinner arrived before the shrimp did. We did not want it then. One dinner was Red Snapper which was average (that is why we gave it an average rating as well as what they call Appe-Teasers, the shrimp cocktail did not arrive before the dinner). The other meal was Oven Roasted Prime Rib which came in 3 sizes and that was very tasty it was served with au jus and horseradish sauce. We had to ask for the horseradish sauce. We had wine with our dinner which should have come at the same time as our dinner plates but arrived later than I would have expected.. We had called a day or two before Saturday and they took our reservation for 6:00 for 2 people but we called back later the same day to ask them if we could be seated by the window and this person said that they don't take reservations for two and could not find the one made a few hours before that. He took our request but it was not given to us when we arrived at 6:00.Even though we did enjoy the place and the music and our cocktails, there were too many 'should haves" to give it a better rating than average. It's a shame because this place could be a very nice evening restaurant for a special occasion

The food was very good but Dorthy are waitress was very unprofessional . Never came by to check on us after we got our meal till we were done eating and never asked for a refill. Asked for our Bill and waited 26 minutes and that was after we asked another server for the manager who never came. The excuse was the computer were down . The managwer laughed and Informed him of the delay and the excuse we had, he stated that the computer were not down then turned hos back on me. I know it is a tourist destination so repeats are rare but as much as the food cost service should have been top knotch.

This was our first time dining at Millikens. After reading reviews we were curious about what the experience was going to be like. I have to say that we were very pleased. It is a pretty place and the outdoor setting is wonderful. The food was very good and, we thought fairly priced. My wife had grouper and I had redfish and we both found the dinners to be well prepared and presented. I have to mention that the Key Lime Pie was not up to the standard set by the dinner. Our server worked very hard and took good care of us. She had a large table of businessmen that were a bit demanding but she still took the time to check on us.

Well, there are plusses but the negatives outweigh them. So let me just be direct and say it's a cheezy pick up joint and they don't even have a functioning website for you to get tickets to their shows and the bar has that stale beer smell and the food was greasy and outdated. There ya go. Wish it was better and hopefully the management/owners will get with it and try to create someplace we all will actually want to call our home away from home.
