This was my first trip to Coney although my wife used to go back in the day when her parents would visit Rogers Christmas House (sadly, now closed). She had been wanting to go back so we picked up her mom and headed out to Brooksville for lunch. This place is a real trip, from walls decorated with license plates, various signs and Elvis memorabilia, to chairs made out of old milk cans and tractor seats. Everyone was really friendly, the food (we all had hot dogs, fries and slaw), was good especially considering the low prices....$2.40 for a footlong with chili and onions. Best of all they have Sam Adams on tap served in a frosty mug for $2.00! That alone will keep me coming back. There's a lot more on the menu; burgers, wings, ribs, etc. and fried mullet on Wednesday nights...I'm there.
Seriously, this is the kind of place that you hope will stay forever and never change.
