Worth the drive, the Rolling Oaks and the Pine Barrons are 2 of the best courses in Florida. If you're a resident be sure to ask about a Woods Card where you can get discounted rates throughout the year!

First of all, you can't beat the price this time of year. And the courses were in great condition, and very enjoyable to play. Amenities are another's matter. The clubhouse is small and needs renovations (at the least). The help in the pro shop was sullen and unhelpful ( both days). We stayed in the villas, although they are a bit of a drive from the golf facility, they are very nice (2 BR, 2BA), and there is a Publix close by and nice restaurants within 15 minutes.

It is well known the two courses here are some of Florida's best. I have played uber-private Seminole and Am a member at TPC. Yes, they are better than WW but only marginally. New superintendent keeping these pretty and strikingly awesome layouts in top shape. They went shabby about a decade ago. Most prefer the Pine Barrens where there are holes you have seen before in your life and may not see again except at Pine Valley. However, Rolling Oaks is perhaps as pretty a course as any save Pinehurst #4. Play them both. Smooth but not overly slick greens.

Pine Barrens at World Woods is a super Fazio layout in excellent condition. It gives the golfer an opportunity to see the trouble, for the most part, and to react and create the play for each hole. Different tees allow each player the choice for their game. The equalizer for golfer are the greens - undulating, difficult to read greens.

Keep it in the short grass and you can score. Get off the fairway and it's trouble. And be sure to look a putts from both sides, though do it quickly. It will be an enjoyable day on an enjoyable course.

This golf course is way off the beaten path but it is well worth the trip. The greens are fast and true and the practice areas are the best. At the turn you call the club house and put in your lunch order and they will deliver to you on the 10th hole that is sweet. This course will challenge you on every hole. We played the pine barons course from the tips. Next time I may move up to the green or white because Arnie says "tee it forward ". Had a great time.
