Had diner this evening at their new location. Went to old location a their web site had not been updated. They moved Friday and this is Monday The menu has been down sized, with onion rings dropped because "the kitchen thinks they are too much trouble". There onion rings and dipping sauce was really good at original location. I had fried shrimp and fried cod. both were over breaded and a little over cooked. Wife had fried scallops that were OK. The salads were fresh and crisp; excellent. Service was excellent as it was in old location. The new location just doesn't have the same feel as the original and the food was not as good as I remember. The food may come back to previous level once they are used to the new digs.

We went to the Boat on Wednesday but they were closed at the old location. We went to the new place on Saturday to beat the crowds on the grand opening Friday but the crowds were still there. Place is like the best kept secret that everyone knows about. I ordered a Pina Colada from the bar but one of the bartenders said he couldn't make it because they didn't have a blender. He offered me some great suggestions but the other one said to give him 2 minutes and hed make it anyways. He said he used ice cream and it was wonderful, better than the ones they use blenders and ice in. The menu had changed a little bit but the hole staff from the old place looked like they were in the new place so we felt comfortable. The server was absolutely awesome and already knew the whole new menu. I got the new Shangha Tuna dish and it was crazy good. the tuna was rare and fresh and the sesseme crust on the outside was awesome. I know its not fair to rate a place after they were open only 2 days but they did so awesome. im still thinking about that tuna dish. ill be back to the new place for sure

Good food and a neat atmosphere. Went there for lunch on a Sunday so it gets a little busy after the Church crowd comes in.

If you are in the mood for FRESH, Cooked to order food, come to Shrimp Boat! You won't be disappointed!
Started with fried dill pickle spears the best I have ever had. Next the Captain's platter fried shrimp, bay scallops, crab cake and cod filet served with au gratin potatoes
Their staff are attentive and courteous. Never pushy.

Went here on last day of vacation looking for some good seafood. Was disappointed. There online menu was different than what they passed out. menu says grilled shrimp and scallops, they weren't grilled they were cooked in a small dish full of butter and oil and served that way. The fried food was heavily breaded and over fried. We visit Brandon often, but won't go back to this place.
