“Good service”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

Was visiting in the area, and this place was recommended. I had the shrimp scampi, and it had way too much garlic butter, it was almost swimming in it. Taste was not bad but it was just way too much butter. My husband also said his food was good but not great. Another friend had the chicken parm and said it was good, very large portions. Location was in a strip mall, but they said they were moving locations soon, not sure where they are moving to. Service was good.

“DELICIOUS shrimp”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

I'm very picky about my seafood. This place is wonderful! The fried shrimp is absolutely to die for. So are the potato pancakes!! The salted caramel homemade ice cream is my favorite! The prices are very fair, and the service is friendly! Love love love Shimp Boat!

“Wow, what a "local" find!”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

Sort of buried in a strip mall and not all that visible from the road lies a nearly hidden treasure. We visited out kids in Brandon last week from Texas and wanted some seafood. They suggested a local place rather than driving to the coast. Reluctantly we agreed and we are glad we did. Good service, fair (a little high end) prices, nice quiet cozy atmosphere, and some of the best freshest seafood I've had in a long time. Grilled Shrimp and Scallops were wonderful. The Chowder and the sides were imaginative and very well prepared. Just a wonderful surprise!

“Good food and great service”
Reviewed October 20, 2013 via mobile

We went during dinner time and had to wait for a table, they were very busy and probably would have been best to call ahead for reservations. I have heard their lunch menu is great also.

“Very good restaurant off the beaten path”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Like many shopping destinations, Brandon is replete with chain restaurants, some better than others. Looking for something different for lunch, we turned to Tripadvisor and discovered the Shrimp Boat. It deserves its position at the top of the list. Obviously well known to locals, the restaurant was nearly full when we arrived. My wife ordered a mojito, and found it to be excellent, on a par with Tommy Bahamas' version. Foodwise, we ordered the Harvest salad and shrimp po-boy, both of which were excellent and generous in size. The fish and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, we had no room left for dessert, but we'll be back. Prices are amazingly reasonable as others have commented.
