Why bother having new owners and changing the name off the restaurant if the food remains the same poor quality? Wow, what a disappointment.

Nicoletta's has taken over the Massimo location at Canyon Town Center, Boynton Beach. This review is perhaps the first for Nicoletta's.
Calamari of the frozen variety was greasy. Fry oil droplets covered bottom of the serving plate. A sign the oil was not hot enough nor drained properly. Marinara sauce was thick and good.
Minestrone soup had few vegetables of carrot wedges, onion and celery. The soup liquid was more a drinking broth than a minestrone soup which should be full of vegetables.
My fettuccine with shrimp was good.
My husband's veal marsala was a disappointment. The angel hair pasta was partially cold, warm and a little warmer depending on where on the dish it was located. The mushroom sauce he could not taste the marsala wine, a vital ingredient to this dish. The veal was tender and a nice size serving. Our server was very professional and attentive.
Perhaps in a short time the owner will get the kitchen properly preparing popular dishes.

Lots of staff there now and prompt attention. I devoured my sausage-peppers and onion sub sandwich that was delicious. My wife ordered the wedge salad that was chock full of blue cheese and big enough for two. Although she was disappointed with the eggplant rollatini, they took it back and she enjoyed their great red sauce over penne and the new owner apologized for it and took the charge off the bill. The new name on the charge card receipt appears to be Nicoletta's Pizzeria and Restaurant. I'm looking forward to trying out more dishes there as the setting is fairly simple, has outdoor seating and the menu and prices are right.

Pleasant surprise, Had a very personable server ,nice atmosphere, good salad ,minestrone soup had way to much pepper in it. Dinner dishes were excellent, rollantini and baked ziti with eggplant. Spaghetti sauce was delicious.sweet a lot of sugar in there sauces witch I found excellent. I hear they just switched owners again. I will try there early bird dinner soon.
