We arrived and we were greeted by a friendly staff. Dana checked us in and she was delightful. We went to the Lakeside grill and Tom was just wonderful. He treated us so well and we had a delightful first afternoon.
Kevin works the weekends and took time to show us the Alligator in the pond. The rooms are nice and the view of the pool and pond were awesome. The temperpedic mattress was wonderful. Continental breakfast was just what they said. Everything was there and served up nicely.
We stayed for 6 days and everything about Trianon was beautiful. We found it on expedia and got a great price. It really is a hidden gem. Sorry no room service but thats not why we were there. It was quiet and relaxing and I will definitly go back.

Cean, good location, free breakfast, friendly service. The lake house attached to the hotel is a great place for Lunch/happy hour. Casual but the food is great....Yes great, the Grouper sandwhich was fresh and the sweet potato fries are awesome. Plus your eating on the water which is rarer than you would think in SW Florida. Tom the bartender is really a gem. Everytime we saw him he was delighted to see us, work in the bar and grab us drinks in a flash. That is a great bartender.
Barefoot beach park is about temn minutes from the hotel by car and that is a definite must see.

We had a really good price (under $100/night including tax) for the Trianon. It was a convenient location to Bonita Bay. We were supposed to get a lake view room according to our deal, but we ended up on the parking lot side as the staff was gracious enough to let us check in a little early. At least there was a nice balcony. We had friends on the lake view side who got a room with a fridge, but ours didn't have one. They said the view wasn't great anyway. The room was really big which was nice. The bathroom was okay, there was a little mildew in the shower and I once saw a beetle during the stay, but it's Florida! There are bugs all over the place in Florida and it's very humid. The shower could've used a scrub, but it was okay--no bathrooms in Florida smell good because the tap water always smells terrible. The mattress on the bed was squeaky but okay. The TV was old and you had to turn the volume way up to hear anything, but once we figured that out we could watch stuff.
The breakfast was all carbs--except for milk in your cereal or coffee--it was crowded every day that we were there though. Even Holiday/Hampton Inn type places have yogurts and sometimes even waffles or hard boiled eggs, so breakfast is definitely an area for Trianon to improve. The coffee was bad, probably made with unfiltered water. Having breakfast on the patio was really pleasant, however.
The pool was super nice and they provide towels. The restaurant next door, the Lakeview Bar & Grill, has okay food and a nice atmosphere on its deck. We received 2 for 1 coupons from the hotel (one day for drinks, another for entrees) and used one at the bar. Our booking company had said we were supposed to receive a free drink daily, not a 2 for 1, but we weren't that excited by the Lakeview fare. The back patio was a nice place to hang out in the evenings. The staff was friendly and helpful and the gym was just a room with a couple machines, but they were well-maintained and it was empty.

The grounds and common areas are very nice but the room was fillthy. Our first night the tub didnt have hot enough water nor would it stay filled. while taking a shower the water was too hot! There was soap scum on the walls of the shower, mildew on the bottom of the shower when i got out of the shower i noticed someone wrote" go bears" on the mirror from a prior guest. Because the exsuast fan was not working. The walls were nasty driping dirty water from the steam. I called down to let the front desk know but no one was avaliable untill the next day.And even after the second cleaning I could scrape SCUM on the walls with my fingernails. Also the ice machine on the 3rd floor was out of order and no soda machines. The elevator was very slow and i noticed the inspection registration was expired 2 years ago. The food at thr resturant was so-so we ordered a take out and somehow they lost our order, an hour later when we picked it up and carried it to our room, of course there were no napkins or silverwareThe hot tub and pool were good. and most of the staff friendly.

We were there for two nights in February 2011 (Friday and Saturday). Never head of the place before and got it via HotWire for $80 per night plus tax choosing a 3.5 star place in Bonita Springs area. So at that price, it is hard to complain about anything.
Upon check-in they gave us two coupons for the bar and grill place that is on same property that overlooks the lake which was BOGO on entre and drink. Even though it said you could use only one coupon at a time, they accepted both making it a cheap night out. We even had gator, our first time.
Our room was not the best in the hotel by any means. It had a sliding glass door that went out to a balcony about 10 inches wide, so you can stand and look over the entry way from out 2nd floor room. The internet was advertised as free wi-fi from lobby area, but our room was close enough to lobby that we picked it up without any issue. My wife loved the bed, but I was not into it. It was like a memory foam mattress.
The free breakfast was continental with nice china to put your stuff on. Definitely a step up over plastic / paper products. Breakfast included oranges and apples, cereals, bagels, bread, juice, coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. A couple of the local newspapers were also available for free. It was a colder morning when we were there, so not too many people sitting outside for breakfast which made the inside difficult to find a seat.
The place sits on a small lake with a trail around it, makes for a nice short walk. We were told that a resident 7 foot alligator lives in it name Wally. We never saw it though, but tons of birds were there to entertain us.
The Promenade center is right across the street and has a few places to eat. So no need to get in the car to go out at night.
We would have loved to be on the beach, but that was out of our price bracket. It all worked for us in the end.
Just some other points:
- Elevator is extremely slow – 17 seconds to go from first to second floor
- No bell man insight, but plenty of luggage trolleys to use for free, so this is a positive for us.
- In-room coffee was in bathroom, it really needed a spot in main part of room.
- Plenty of free parking.
- Staff was very friendly.
