“Pretty beach.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2013

This is a nice, long beach with many shells. I have been to hundreds of beaches as nice and nicer. There are toilets and a soda vending machine? Eight dollars to enter. Regarding the expensive homes for a mile as one drives to the beach - to each his own, but definitely neauveau riche.

“Always a treat!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2013

You never know what birds and other animal friends you'll find and the area is never over crowded. The beach appears endless which is great for walkers and there are numerous shells to be found which is always fun. But for me, the birds were the real gift...something new every day.

“Perfection!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

Rarely do we come across such a perfect beach. The drive through the upscale neighborhood is eye-opening. A short walk over the boardwalk brings you to a white sand beach with lots of shells. Even the red tide did not mar our enjoyment of the 5 1/2 hours we spent here. The restrooms were clean. Granted it was crowded, but by moving away from the boardwalk the crowds can be avoided. It is a great beach for shelling, birdwatching, swimming and soaking up the sun.

“Nice beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

The beach itself is beautiful. It's a little odd driving down barefoot beach boulevard to get there. It's on a preserve but there are houses all along the boulevard. It closes at dusk and is 8$ to get in. I loved the idea of being able to see the gopher turtles.

“Careful when you park”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

Frankly, this beach was a hassle. I was careful to go to the parking pay machine ( $8). Walked back to my car, and displayed it in the dash. I didn't stop and read the times on the little strip of paper, and apparently it was someone's from the night before? So they gave me a ticket! Then the beach was crowded. Not peaceful. Maybe just a bad day.
