I'm surprised at some some of the other reviews that rate the food here OK or average.
Last night (New Years Eve) was our first visit to this nondescript restaurant tucked away in a strip mall. We had met some people at another local establishment the night before who recommended it.
There were 6 of us who went to dinner and Fontanella came through huge on the dinners with all 6 of us extremely happy with the meal. To be fair the waiter explained it was a "limited" menu for the holiday concentrating on the "chef's specials".
Everyone in our party had an appetizer or salad and a dinner dish. Probably the lowest scoring item was the Caprese salad which was a bit plain.
The other diners had Escargot, Salads, and I had the Carpaccio which was superb.
For dinner three of our party had veal which was very light colored, pounded very thin, and was tender and delicious. One of our party had chicken which was also flavorful and cooked perfect, moist and easily edible with a fork alone. Finally I had the Cavatelle Con Broccoli Sausage which absolutely excellent with fresh pasta, small tender florets, and perfectly flavored sauce to compliment the broccoli.
The owner/chef was in and out of the kitchen all night and may have contributed hands-on to the high quality results.
Please note that the dishes we had were the chef's interpretation of the name.
It wouldn't be considered typical "Italian food" that you get out of the average "Italian" restaurant. From the Escargot to the Veal and Chicken the dishes came out and had our party scratching our heads as to if that was what was ordered. Once tasted though any doubts as to what they kitchen was doing immediately faded away.
One final note is that this establishment is beer/wine only. However everyone in our party is a liquor drinker and all agreed without question that the lack of liquor was more than offset by the quality of the food.
