I cannot say enough abou the butterfish at Roy's. It is AMAZING! I love the taste, the presentation and the veggies that accompany this dish. Run, don't walk to Roy's for this outstanding dish.

“Better Than ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2012

This place never disappoints!! Outstanding fresh seafood and a staff on each side of the counter that keep you coming back. No it is not cheap, but well worth the price. You will be talking about a great meal for days.

“Best Mahi Mahi EVER”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 29, 2012

I had never been to a Roys. My brother and his wife rave about the Butterfish so we drove into Bonita Springs to try it. This place serves such quality good food. We got the canoe as the app. Everything was so good. My husband and I got the trio dinner- Butterfish, Salmon and Mahi Mahi. The Mahi Mahi was the favorite out of the 3. My sister in law loves the Butterfish and my brother got the surf and turf. I thought he was going to lick the plate. Drinks were good and we also had the lava cake. It was one of the best dinners I have ever had.

“Great Aloha Hour Appetizers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2012

At this location, the happy hour is from 4:30-6:00. During that time, anywhere at the bar or tables at the bar or outside you can partake in the $5 appetizers. They also have a few wine choices for $5 and one $3 pale ale. There are a total of six appetizers and all are real good. There are two kinds of sushi, along with calamari, sliders (you get 2), beef skewers (3), and lobster potstickers (3). Three of us tried all six, and doubled up on three of them so our bill was for nine appetizers, two wines, one beer and one pop/soda.

The total cost of our meal, including tip, was $77 and it was plenty enough for dinner. Service was also excellent. This is the second Roy's at which we have had the happy hour (the other was in CA) and they were basically the same. I can definitely recommend this as a way to try a few different things and have enough for a relatively inexpensive dinner. Note that the bar area fills up quickly so I would recommend arriving within 10 minutes of the beginning of happy hour. And while reservations are taken for the main restaurant, they are not taken for the happy hour.
