“Daily Special are a Deal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

An enjoyable place for both dinner and drinks. Friendly bar service and on the nights that Big Al’s offers their daily special, you can not go wrong. Specials aside, even the regular menu offers the dinner several choices that should meet everyone’s appetite. Also, a great place to watch current sporting events.

“Do not go on Easter Sunday....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

We made the mistake on going on Easter Sunday, at 5 p.m., at the request of my mother-in-law, she was sure it would not be that bust at that time, WRONG!!!. There were people of all ages waiting everywhere, with out really any place to stand to wait, like sardines! Here is my father in-law on oxygen, and II am waiting for knee replacement surgery, with a walker. We finally found a table on the side of the bar,(actually there were 3 of them, that were not in use), for my self to sit, and the other's did not wan to take advantage of the situation, so they stood. O fcourse this was close to the path the wait staff used to get back and forth to the kitchen. WE had on waitress get in my Mother-in-laws face, very rudely, and say that they could not stand there!!! We ended up being sat at that table when it was our time, they never used the other 2. It was really loud, because they had all the T.V.'s on for the NBA playoffs, and were right next to the bar,,, Service was slow, but once again they were very busy, we went the specials, my prime rib was a little too rare, and my mother-in-law ordered a baked potato, did not get it, the drinks ordered at the bar cost almost twice as much as at the table, an added "bar charge"? I am not a sports bar/restaurant person, but maybe try again not in season.

“What Happen To Big Al's??”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

The Big Al's location in Bonita Springs keeps looking worse, are they going out of business? The signs look like they need to be replaced. You can hardly see them. All my clients thing they are closing due to the look of the outside.
I hope that isn't the case. I have been going there for 10 years and don't want to stop.
Come on, let's refresh the look and bring people back!!!
I hear there is new managment, let's hope this helps.

PS. Johanna, is the best server, I sit outside just to have her serve me.

“Watch TV at home”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

Ribs were just average, why even bother w/ a cob of corn when its been sitting in the warmer for hours and is now just a chewy something that doesn't even taste like corn. Big deal, so it was the special of the night, cheaper but not good. The cole slaw was fine, but who serves iceburg lettuce for a dinner salad with an overly seasoned chicken breast just plunked on top? This is a "quantity over quality" restaurant. Find something else that has good food for a couple dollars more.
