Nice on the surface. But looks are deceiving. Our second day we found MOLD in the room, Slow response by staff. Promised visits by housekeeping staff who never showed up. Management non existant,

My husband and I stayed at this property because of a timeshare preview trip. We didn't purchase a timeshare, but loved the property. The property is only 4 years old and looks very modern. We stayed in a 1 bedroom and loved the layout. Granite everywhere with stainless steel appliances. Bathroom is very luxurious as well!

We definitely want to return to this property. The Hyatt hotel was great as well!

If you love shopping.......this is the area to visit. There are 3 outlet malls in the area, plus a brand new, beautiful shopping complex just down the street from the property. There are many great restaurants in the area as well.

A must see for families and couples.

The resort was as all the reviews had mentioned. The staff do go out of their way to make everything right. During one afternoon the rain started.
The staff opened the kids club and x box for the older kids and put a movie on the big screen complete with popcorn for the younger kids.

The beach was either closed or very small due to weather and high tides. Don't feel it was worth the long wait for the bus to take to the dock-then long wait for the boat to load . There is also a long walk to the chairs so small children have a hard time. Finally there is a long wait for relaod after finished. Not worth the 1 hour of wait time total .
The pools were wonderful. We feel this is a perfect resort for couples or families with young children. The teens we talked to were very bored.
Note :they are building a 18? theater 5 miles away so this should help!

Have toured several timeshare resorts - this one has everything! Location, location, location and The Plantation is the best value for dollar in Florida. We knew if we did not buy our lifetime vacations here we never would.

They have an Eagles nest that has interrupted construction. They are almost sold out of current inventory so sales people are not pushy. New buildings should start soon and we are glad we purchased now before prices go up.

There is also a new town center 5 minutes away that just opened on US41 called Coconut Point. Shopping, movie theatre and we counted over 20 restaurants.

This place is a diamond in the rough! Some people will say “I could of purchased there when…”

Without a doubt, the best timeshare we have ever stayed at! Everything is first class. We had a two bedroom suite; it was huge. And the second bedroom with ensuite was far enough from the master for two couples to have a lot of privacy, if they wished. Our screened-in balcony overlooked a lagoon and the golf course. It ran the length of the suite, with room for a large table with four chairs plus two lounge chairs and side table. The kitchen had stainless steel appliances and granite counter. Lots of little touches to make the suite very attractive and comfortable. Shampoo, soap, laundry detergent are provided. Staff come in each day to change the towels and empty the trash. Midweek, they clean and change the sheets. Not the normal timeshare service! Hookup to our laptop in suite provided free of charge. There is a regular shuttle provided to the marina (beach access) and the Hyatt hotel. It is also available by request during unscheduled hours. One evening it picked us up to go to the Tarpon Bay restaurant in the hotel and returned us when we were done. Nice not to have to worry about drinking and driving. Only negative in the suite was the sofa. Soft and tired...needed replacing. And I wouldn't go to southwest Florida in late May again. The love bugs were out in full force. They don't bite but it is no fun to be sunbathing and having them land on you.

I have stayed in many hotels in my 36 years and never have I experienced a staff as friendly, sincere and dedicated to providing the utmost in quality customer service as the staff at the Hyatt Coconut Plantation!!!!!

In addition to the excellent staff is the absolutely stunning decor of the entire hotel particularly the floors throughout the lobby and common areas of the main building.

The landscaping it breathtakingly lush and well manicured with eco-friendliness in mind. The only slight (and I do mean slight) disappointment that I had was in the beach; however the water taxi ride to the island was most relaxing and pleasant. The island is reserved primarily for wildlife habitat, thus allowing only a small amount of space for actual beach.

Overall, this is an extremely classy and beautiful hotel with a phenominal staff!

We just returned from a lovely stay at the Hyatt Coconut Plantation. My Husband, twin five year old sons and myself had a very relaxing stay. The property is very clean, staff very friendly and the amenity sites (pool, gym, playground) were awesome!!!

Stayed in a 1 bedroom unit, which had a full kitchen- great for cooking breakfast in the morning !!!!! The only down side if any, is that there really is not any full service restaurant on site, only "The Verandah Restaurant" out by the pool area, however it does not serve breakfast or dinner- only lite lunch food. The Hyatt Hotel which is only down the road does have full service restaurants and you are able to use all of the amenities of this hotel along with the plantation.

Overall, a Great Family Place!!!!!
