Pools are nice. You can rent bikes but there's almost no place to bike. Club level is worth the extra $$ with solid breakfast and evening snacks. Food is OK at best and highly priced. Service was hit or miss. When departing, a worker opened the car door for my kids but did not help my wife and I load the luggage into the car?? Kept wanting to really like the place but just could not do it. Beach is small and it takes 20 minutes by boat to get there. Be sure to use the time share pools and lazy river but there's no evening restaurant at the timeshare. Would stay there again but just not a great place.

We were at the Hyatt Regency for a 4 night stay from Mar 13-17 and could not have made a better choice. The hotel itself is world-class luxury. The rooms are spacious and we didn't want to get out of the thick, pillow topped beds. Like sleeping on a cloud! My kids (ages 11 and 14) were kept busy all day long in the 3 pools, waterfalls and the waterslide. The whole place is lush with palm trees, flowers, and greenery so you feel like you are in a caribbean resort. Although we didn't count, we're pretty sure there are more comfy, cushioned lounge chairs around the pools than there are guests. We were there during busy March Break and never had any problem finding our choice of 4 loungers together at any time of the day.
The restaurant near the pool, The Corkscrew, is pricy but the best part is that the kids menu is very reasonable with adult-sized portions and most of the items on the main menu are so large that my husband and I shared a meal everyday and it was perfect. I don't know how anyone could eat a whole order. The YaYa Burger is huge and delicious and so is the steak wrap but avoid the salads - they are a bit skimpy if you are sharing. We ate at this restaurant every day for lunch at it came to only slightly more than a food court or fast food (about $30-$35 for 4 people) and infinately better.
Finally got out to the beach on the last day. Don't miss it. it is really quite beautiful and the boat ride out to the area is really nice with frequent dolphin sightings.
Don't miss the ice cream in the snack shop - it is delicious, especially the mint chocolate chip.
The only downside to this hotel is the location. It is pretty much out in a field. You have to drive if you want to go anywhere at all but there is a lot of contruction going on in the area and I suspect within a year there will be shops and restaurants all within walking distance. (The construction is not near the actual resort so you don't hear or see any of it.)
All in all, excellent, well run resort and we would stay here again without any hesitation.

Went in February to stay for three night at the vacation club and three night at the hotel with two boys aged 6 and 4. We took a taxi to the hotel and it seems most people rent a car. The 2 bedroom vacation club was beautifully funished and looked over the 10 hole of raptor bay golf club. There will be about 12 condos eventually built, but a bald eagle seems to have limited the building to just 3 condos which means the facilities are nicely underutilised. The pools were great and the kids loved the floating river. Still there was no restuarant after 6 pm and you had to go to the hotel which a distance away. So we got early take out from the snack bar which was fine. They have a fire pit but could not get it working any nights. We played golf one day and put the kids into the kids club. They begged to go back the next day but the golf course at $185 is so overrated. The greens are too firm for their donald ross design, even good shots can be rejected. I have a 7 handicap and hit 20 chips in 18 holes, the course seems like it was crowded in although we did see a alligator.
We moved the the hotel and had a normal suite overlooking the bay, the pools were great and the eldest loved the slide down into the pool. They have a walkway to the boat which can take you out to the ocean beach. It was a fun ride and there were plenty of shells to collect but the beach is near a bay opening and there were alot of jet skis flying by only 20 yards from the shore. It was ok. The restaurants were expensive but i thought they were excellent and had great kids choices. We hired a car to drive down to alligator alley for just one day and had a great time on one of those air boat rides. The foyer has great chess sets to play and they had a nice cafe and free dvd rentals (well free given we are paying a daily resort fee). All in all a great trip, i love golf and i never back for another game which says alot.

Would definitely stay here again...Pricey, but great ambience & service is outstanding..Everyone loves their job here. Only stayed three nights, but wish it had been longer/so relaxing.

My mother, sister and I stayed at the Hyatt for a pleasure/business trip. We had an outstanding visit. We spent the first day at the spa...services were great and the staff was very pleasant. We had requested a corner-king room and our wish was granted (we were very pleased because the hotel was completely sold out). The bell staff and valets were great...I don't think I had to open my own door once in the 5 days we were there! Yes, the food is pricey...but the wraps and fries poolside are delicious. However, the prices are no different than any other resorts I have been to...kind of goes with the territory. The brunch in the restaurant is great...fills you up so you don't need lunch! The fitness center is top notch too...treadmills have built-in tv's! My only complaint was with the housekeeping staff who didn't meet our request to have the room cleaned by 2 p.m. each day. Usually, the room was cleaned by 5 p.m. which seemed a bit late to me. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

Arrived on Jan 18th with our 6 year old and 11 month old. Our child is on formula and baby food, which we stopped and purchased at a local grocery store before check in. The staff was downright rude about NOT heating any bottles or warming any baby food for anyone, under any circumstances. So we spent 5 days with a cold bottle and just fruit because the hotel wouldn't accommodate our baby. Secondly, the towels need to be signed in and out-what a hassle! especially with small children. Third, the CAMP required 24 hrs notice to attend and for a hefty fee! The camp counselor I saw with 2 children, put the kids in the pool and watched them swim, She did NOT have on a bathing suite! and there are no lifeguards on duty. The food was expensive and service terribly slow. Just not a place we would ever think of going again. Not a family choice! Would be best suited for a couple with nothing to do but sit by the pool and spend money!

This was our second stay at this Hyatt. We arrived early and checked in early with no hassles. We had decided to stay on the Hyatt Club level which was very nice. It has a lounge that serves a continental breakfast (fruits, yogurts, pastries, bagles, coffee, tea, juices, etc.), afternoon cookies and sodas, early evening appetizeres and drinks (top shelf alcohol for mixed drinks, OK red and white wine, delicious appetizers, cheese crackers, etc.), and cordials and petit fours in the later evening. It saved us quite a bit on food while we were there.

It was a bit chilly each day unless you stayed in the sun, but the pools were nicely heated and very comfortable. All areas were beautifully landscaped and kept very clean.

There were plenty of activities for people of all ages. Quiet out of the way nooks for relaxing couples and a ton of activities for kids (pools, climning wall, playgrounds, nature walks, boat to the beach, shelling, smores kits to use in the fire pit, snowball throwing contests, bird house decorating, even a moonbounce one day...). The boat ride to the beach is nice and quick and the beach is very nice with chairs and umbrellas provided.

The food is great at the hotel. Even the poolside grill served tasty fresh food. The portion sizes are enormous, so we ended up splitting most everything. The prices did not seem extreme to me, but I live in an expensive part of the country. Splitting the meals will fill you up and not hurt your wallet.

We will return.
