This is a really nice resort with large swimming pools, good restaurants, bars and average rooms. Nice Hyatt with wild life. Rooms are large, clean and well decorated but average. The location is also average. Staff is good and spa is also nice. Overall it's worth it.

This resort has a good location, close to a mall and restaurants. It is nicely appointed but take heed, not all rooms have balconies. Our room opened onto a ledge. I was told balconies are an additional $25. We weren't aware of this until I asked or I might have opted for the balcony.

Also, I found it very strange to have a room with no chest of drawers. The only drawer space in our room was one full and one half-size drawer in the oversize nightstand between two queen beds. Since my husband and I were staying four nights/five days, we had to cram all of things in those drawers. Not real convenient. The furniture is modular and I am wondering if they just forgot the chest of drawers in our room since our friends had one in their room.

Another thing that concerned us was that we heard nothing in our 10th floor room or hallway when a fire alarm went off downstairs. The only indication on our floor was that we noticed the fire doors accessing the elevator area were closed but figured someone had just closed them. A passenger already on the elevator said it was behaving strangely. It had taken him to the basement rather than the lobby and back to our 10th floor. He was not aware of the alarm either. When we got off the alarm lights were flashing in the lobby. When we reached the banquet room, other guests told us they had heard the alarm in the banquet area and were evacuated to the outside. I don't know if the alarm was just for a specific part of the building or not but it did concern me.

The facility was clean, the staff, for the most part, was friendly and helpful. I needed some things delivered to the room and they arrived promptly. Reservations made by the concierge at a local restaurant were off by an hour making us wait at the restaurant but I don't know if it was the fault of the concierge or the restaurant.

I really liked the chocolate chip croissants in the coffee ship. We only visited one restaurant, Tanglewood. Food was pricey but that is normal in a resort. The crab cakes were amazing. The rest of the food was okay, not outstanding, and service was adequate. When I requested some items I needed for the room, they arrived promptly. Note that there is a 15 minute boat ride to the beach.

Overall, it is a nice resort, especially if you want to be near local shopping and restaurants. In my opinion, it is probably better for business meetings than family stays but I did not have an opportunity to check out the pool area.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony if you want to sit out.

Back in 2013, a friend recommended we stay a couple nights at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point after we spent two days on Sanibel. I'm so glad we did! Not only is the hotel beautiful, but the staff is fantastic!

ROOMS: The rooms are well-decorated, clean, and quite comfortable. Just to be aware for when you are booking, there are two types of balcony. The first is a small balcony that is just big enough for you to step out and stand on. The full size balcony has two chairs and a small table. I believe the bigger balconies are on the odd-numbered floors and the smaller balconies are on the even numbered floors. Also, when you book a room with a view of the bay, you will either get placed on the side of the building which does overlook the bay, but also overlooks a small parking lot and roof of the lower part of the hotel. We were placed on that side this second trip, which I was a little disappointed about, but not enough to really affect our trip. The other bay view rooms are on the back of the hotel and the overlook the pool. I would definitely request those rooms, if possible, as the view is much better.

COMMON AREAS: The resort is absolutely lovely. Everything is extremely clean and well-taken care of. The pools are great, although I believe only one is heated. There are lots of lounge chairs and many umbrellas if you want to stay in the shade. The staff is around if you need them, but you do not feel bombarded or like you're being "watched" while you are just lying out relaxing.

STAFF: The staff are all very helpful and they really seem to care about your stay. There was an older gentleman who was working as the concierge who was extremely helpful and gave us some fantastic suggestions on local restaurants. The resort also has two Newfoundland dogs, Hoss and Honeybear, that are the hotel mascots. They are definitely a nice touch and it was fun meeting them.

FOOD: We only experienced the food via room service one night and it was fairly good. My mom ordered some fish tacos and I ordered the bleu cheese burger and then we both split an apple dessert. The food was tasty and it was delivered quite quickly, which is nice, as well.

TIPS: You can either valet or you can self-park. The self-park lot is just a minute (or less) walk from the front door of the resort and very convenient. We visited here during a VERY quiet time of year so I could foresee the parking lot getting very crowded if it was a really busy time of year.

It's important to note that this hotel isn't directly on the beach. It's on Estero bay and from some of the rooms you can see both the water of Estero bay and the water of the Gulf. In order to get to the beach, you have to take a boat, which is at the end of the long dock that starts out by the pools. You can either do the 5 (or so) minute walk to get to the dock or you can ride the shuttle from the from of the hotel. The beach is quite lovely. They have done HUGE remodeling to the beach, which is now SO much bigger than it used to be (way more sand). There are lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas, some picnic type tables, and clean restroom facilities. It really is a lovely area.

As I titled this review, I really would like this resort to become a yearly tradition as we have enjoyed both our stays here immensely!

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor as well as a bay view on the side of the hotel overlooking the pools so you...

We arrived very late at night as we had been traveling all day from Chicago. We actually arrived at the wrong hotel. The one we booked was Hyatt Place Coconut Point, also in Bonita Springs. Both the gentleman at the Hyatt Regency and at Hyatt Place were very helpful and patient with us as we transferred out reservation to the Hyatt Regency which is the hotel we thought we had booked. From the moment we pulled up to check in, the hotel looked luxurious. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly. I don't know if this hotel always does this, but we got a glass of champagne when we checked in...nice touch! We upgraded to a very nice room with three balconies being we were Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond members. Our room was also right next to the Diamond Lounge so it was very convenient to get breakfast in the morning. The breakfast in the lounge was mostly cold food such as fruit, cereal, breads, yogurt and more. I would have liked some freshly made oatmeal, but the oatmeal was instant in a pouch. There was a hot breakfast quesadilla which was very good. There was a coffee machine which made cappuccino and espresso too. The evening appetizers were better than expected and a good amount of selection. We are also Hilton Diamond members so in comparison, this lounge was better than most Hilton lounges. A small amount of very light snacks were available all day in the lounge as well as a good selection of water, coffee and soft drinks too. The room was well appointed, very comfortable and a descent size. We didn't relax by the pool since we had three balconies to chill on. We wanted some peace and quiet after our long trip. We only stayed two nights, but next time we visit the area, we will definitely be staying here.

Room Tip: Get a corner room with three balconies. You get two views.

Our stay was outstanding from the entrance to the glass of Champagne served at checking...very nice touch and personal treatment from Dan that handled our check in. Then the entrance to room looking out the 12th floor view to Fort Myers Beach. WOW! Pool with the falls was romantic. All in all this place was well worth the investment of a one night stay. Next visit will be there Spa and try the restaurant on with..

Room Tip: King size room view looking West. Always ask if you qualify for an upgrade in your room.

What a trip!! We spent 4 nights here prior to Christmas to get away from all the snow and cold up north.

This is our second trip to Naples within 6 months for a quick getaway and can't say a bad thing about this hotel, compared to where we stayed last (LaPlaya).

We loved every single thing about our stay. The food was excellent, you have plenty of options with the pools, and the rooms were clean. We ate at every restaurant on site and didn't have a bad meal. You don't need to leave this place, they have everything. Want to rent a movie to entertain the kids while you and the wife have a drink on the balcony, yup that's free. Wife said spa was good so try that too. The fire pit was a nice option at night, you never know who you'll run into. My dad's neighbor just happened to be there, and I didn't know he was a neighbor until we started talking, small world!

I know this may be a little short, but this hotel was fabulous for the money! Wish I would of found it sooner!

We're already planning our next stay in September and coming back again in December!
