“Good Job by All!”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

My husband and I recently spent 5 nights at the hotel for a business conference. Our group had over 500 attending and the hotel staff did a yeoman job. Can't remember the last time a meal for so many arrived so hot and tasty at the table. We ate at Tarpon Bay on the first night and had a phenomenal meal. Before we arrived we were worried because we were scheduled to have three business dinners at the restaurant. Could have eaten there all 5 days!!!
Even though the hotel was still renovating some of their rooms, service did not suffer. Unfortunately this meant that some of our conference attendees had to stay at an over-flow hotel. This was definitely their loss.
Our only negative comment would be that the noise of the elevators going up and down is always in the background. It sounds like wind whistling and is not loud enough to keep you awake but does get annoying after a time. At first we thought it was because the headboard of our bed was directly against the elevator shaft but we heard it in all areas of our suite.
Our group is returning to the hotel again in 2014 and we look forward to it.

We stayed for four nights in late September. I believe the room was called a Bay Suite. It had a room which would be the regular two bed room with another room with a large living room. We had three balconys, two bathrooms, and was recently updated. The room was wonderful. It also had a refrigerator. A super target and all sorts of other stores are right up the road.

The swimming pools were great. We loved the pool with the slide. My wife and I could have gone on it all day. The two jacuzzis were nice. We went to the other property with the lazy river and had a great time. A shuttle was able to take you to the other property which was nice.

The hotel also has a private island. The boat takes about 15 minutes or so to the island. We saw a bald eagle on a post in the water. It is pretty much guaranteed you will see dolphins. The private island is nice except for no food and towels. It is really sandy so you can walk out a long ways. The water is brackish which made it difficult to snorkel. We went three days and I couldn't see 1 foot ahead of me. It was nice to take a walk up and down the beach.

We had the breakfast buffet every day. This was the only food we ate at the hotel but I wish we would have tried something else. The buffet had everything you want. I had some pancakes near the end (11am ish) were incredible. The hours were great. Since we were on vacation we were able to sleep in and get breakfast pretty late. The service was great. They always offered to bring water, juice, napkins, and to go containers.

We can't wait to go back. This was a great time to go since the snow birds didn't come down yet. Hopefully, we can make this trip every year in September.

We were so pleased to read about your recent stay with us. It looks as though you were able to enjoy most of the fun amenities that we have here on the property. For your next visit, make sure to stop by "Kofe Nut" for a rolling cooler to fill up with your favorite snacks and drinks to take to the island with you. We look forward to your next visit here in the Sunshine State!

I recently stayed here with my family, including an infant and a toddler. We were visiting family in the area, and decided to treat ourselves and stay here. Are we glad we did! The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are gorgeous, and we were treated very well during our stay. It wasn't 100% perfect- there were some issues with the wi-fi, and the promised crib wasn't in the room, but I felt the hotel went out of their way to make things right. The main kid friendly pool was so much fun that we never ended up checking out the private beach. The hotel is within easy reach of the area's attractions, and a mile away is a great shopping and dining complex. We will definitely stay here next time we visit the area!

Went here for a conference, resort was gorgeous. Huge pools, slides for the kids, fun nature walks - wish I would have had my family with me! You're not on the beach, but you can take a short boat ride (provided by the resort) over to a private little island that's on the gulf. Hope to go back again with the family.

Was here for a "Girls Night Out" promotion. Great room and rate. Greeted with Champagne upon arrival...very classy. Room was recently remodeled and we had a corner room facing the front. Bathroom was better than most.....felt like we were in a spa. No hidden charges this time as the resort fee was included in our rate. The pool area was lovely. Every staff member we encountered was attentive. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

first, the hidden resort fee for, $20 per day. Not even the reservation rep. at that location will tell you about this, he/she will state a price including taxes to be billed. When you check out the $20 + tax per day will be added.
second, construction.....noisy, noisy, and more noisy.
third, the ice machine malfunctioned a few days previous on our floor. uuugh! the moldy smell from the soaked carpet in the hallway was BAD! they put a commercial blower in the hall to dry it, instead of vacuum.

Room Tip: right now.......with the construction, no good room.
